I very much enjoyed the game in its early state. But I found the town management to be tedious. The villagers are so unproductive, they would starve if you didn't return to the town at least a couple times each day to plant crops, cook food, and bring in general resources they should be collecting on their own (wood, stone, berries, etc.). They really don't produce anything on their own. And the raids are very difficult to handle. Guards are worthless. It would probably be better to not bother having guards, as they just die and you need to recruit new villagers to replace them every time. They had access to plate armor and good weapons. They were just entirely incapable of fighting the raiders. You'll need to kill all raiders on your own. But I really liked the concept, and the parts that your character should be handling (exploring, clearing areas, bringing back rare resources) was very well done. So, overall a good game. I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys survival games. I'm just hoping they change some of the town management parts.

Although I've experienced "glitches", the overall experience was pretty good. Perhaps some of the mechanics of what I've found are merely my not understanding how it works, but I'm sure it'll be worked out eventually. I'll keep at it. This game already has good potential, and it can only get better, provided the developers continue updating. It's definitely worth trying.

First off, I am so glad this hit early access! Been waiting for this! I'm stoked for this game. Ever since 'The Black Death' had it's development ended... Abruptly - Yes, I'm still cross over that one. I've been wanting another 'plague' style survival game, and this seems to be right here ready to tackle that itch! ...then administer medicine to said itch. Do we need 4K, ultra max high def graphics? No. Not every game needs this in order to be great. (It also opens up more players to access this game and not feel like their hardware will explode. Plus potentially it can become optimised for the Deck) My 2080 is barely struggling to run this. 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and she's running very very well. Zero complaints from me. I really enjoy this lower end graphic setting they've developed. It further draws you in to the despair and grit. 10/10 nailed it with that. The fog overlay and particle effects also land really well. So far, I'm just scratching at the surface, but so far, I am really liking what I see. Please, please! Do not abandon this one. Do not become another 'Black Death'. Give us the plague riddled world we so desperately want! With it's gore, grim and dark setting. Never change Nestled Lands. Keep it up, and this will go far.

I don’t understand the thumb downs. I mean. I get it, it’s early access but why be so negative to something that for the most part is pretty good. People are legit giving this a thumbs down because its graphics suck (which yeah it’s pretty ugly). But who in their right mind actually thinks graphics make a game good? What really matters is gameplay, and as far as I’m concerned the gameplay is pretty solid. So here’s the thing, yeah it’s not perfect and it has lots of issues. From stability, to lack of content, to graphical issues etc. But it’s early access and it feels like what early access is supposed to be. A solid model giving you a glimpse into its future and they need some funds to help further develop it. Doesn't feel like a rip-off. Doesn't feel like a waste of time or money. IMO if you’re a fan of this type of gameplay (the third person/first person city builder survival games) then you’re gonna love this one. It’s got everything you’d expect and overall it’s put together rather well. Obviously it’s not perfect and it’s not finished yet so expect some issues, but from a baseline I think it’s worth it. I mean it’s only 15 dollars. Hardly a waste, and here I think it’s worth it. So that’s why I gave it a thumbs up. At the bare minimum it did what it set out to do and gave us what we were expecting, so isn’t that enough for a cheap early access game? But if that’s not enough I completely understand and encourage you to check out the review on my YouTube Channel (link below). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-XMXBRpgig Otherwise, thanks so much for reading and I hope I was able to help some of you out there spend your money wisely.
