I strongly advice installing the tweaks mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/ninjagaiden2black/mods/8?tab=description It fixed the stutter and boosted my fps. What's weird is that it just changes some game engine defaults, i don't understand how the dev team couldn't figure it out. Anyway, I enjoy the violence.

If you are just a regular Hack N' Slash fan then i highly recommend playing this game its a 10/10 experience. but if you are a Ninja gaiden fan then i will just tell you that this is an another version of sigma 2, but a better version. and i recommend you play it with Ninja Gaiden 2 White mod from nexus, trust me it will make the game 20x better for you.

I love Ninja Gaiden...... but. As much as Team Ninja would like to say that this is the definitive edition of NG2. It isnt. There are still glaring issues with boss design and game mechanics that do not reflect the original edition. Sure they added the gore back and they fixed bugs and perfomance issues, the game looks great, but that is truly it. This is what NG2 Sigma should have been and even then its not good enough. If you are thinking of playing NG, i would recommend this version as it is the best that pc has to offer. but if you own an xbox, play the original version through backwards compatibility. This game is very fun and one of the most high skill hack & slash games money can buy, but dont pay full price for an asset injection.

Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360) is one of my all-time favorite games. I loved everything about the original: the intense combat, the challenging bosses, and the wide variety of weapons. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the Sigma version because it toned things down and removed the blood and gore. This change altered what made Ninja Gaiden unique, turning it into just another casual button-mashing action game. So, if you didn’t own an Xbox, the Sigma version was the only legal way to experience this game until Black came out. Sadly, this new release is a remake of the Sigma version, but it's understandable since the source code for the original Xbox 360 version is lost, which is a real shame. That said, this version is amazing! The gore and blood are back, and the combat is significantly harder than in Sigma, though it’s still easier than in the original 360 version. The graphics look fantastic, and the combat feels incredibly smooth and satisfying, bringing back that thrilling difficulty fans love. This is the best modern version to play. If I had to rank each version, it would be: Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360) > Ninja Gaiden II Black > Ninja Gaiden II Sigma. Overall, if you’re a fan of action games, you should try Ninja Gaiden II Black.
