If you look at the game's page and it doesn't interest you, honestly, there's probably not much I can say that will convince you otherwise. If you don't like anime, doubly so. You will be met with a plot that contains a lot of the usual anime cliches, gameplay that will hardly challenge most players, music that is mostly non-copyright and made using VST (feeling pretty low budget), and presentation, that while great for RPG Maker, won't impress even people used to indie games. Yet, despite all these limitations, I can say this was my best gaming experience in a long time. The story, despite the long runtime, never lost focus, each episode moving the plot forward, with a pacing that's enviable for many Japanese stories. Messages that you could find in so many other media, yet the game never shied away from that, clearly driving them forward with honesty. Every character was treated with respect, they all had their own purpose and were able to show their story until the end. The music, despite not being made specifically for the game, felt carefully selected to fit each scene perfectly and the tracks that were made specifically, perfectly encapsulate what I find so special about video-game music: familiar leitmotifs that drives the tracks (when it makes sense to) and memorable melodies (and cheesy, which is, in my opinion, in no shape or form, a bad thing) that you would only ever find in VGM. Everything about the game feels completely made out of love, completely honest in the way it treats its characters and plot. As I said at the start, I don't believe I can convince anyone that doesn't have an interest to start with. However, if you do decide to give it a try, I can only hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did.

I enjoyed it a lot, a nice game with a satisfying story, the gameplay might be a bit limited but it's not an issue as it is a story driven game before anything else. That being said, seasons (chapter) 8 and 9 are terrible and a jarring downgrade in quality from anything else in the game, I can handle a interface downgrade in the middle of the game (you barely spend time in the UI) but the translation was downright horrendous for these two chapters, it nearly made me drop the game. I'm glad I powered through since the quality goes back to normal from S10 onward but I hope they'll fix that one day (though I doubt it since the complete edition released last year and there doesn't seem to be any new update in sight). I still recommend it, it's a good game with a nice story for a low price, what's not to like about it ? ( S8/9, that's what)

Good lord my game got turned into complete edition. Anyways the game still runs great but just compressed. DLC episodes are now free and bundled up. (Well they were free in the jp website) But still the love I have for this masterpiece won't change. Especially to my most beloved ship.(Noel and Caron) And my most favorite character Jillian herself. Ending note: This games maybe rpg maker but its story is TOP novel class.

not done with the game but id like to offset the negativity being thrown around for a choice made by the developers to make this game more affordable and accessible as well as adding in console improvements as a bonus after the fact. if the game is worth its value at the price paid for the previous dlc packs, then theres no reason to feel "ripped off" that people in the future get it cheaper. the fact that people on this platform are angry that a game gets cheaper over time is beyond me.
