first time playing got a very advanced village the people there were so nice. I learned to make pies. Mother died but came back as a kid. We just kept talking to each other. After a while the village got smaller till my second round playing I was the last survivor in the village. I died next to my family's graves. I then got reborn and one on my family's body's was in this new village. I spent my whole life that time looking for my old village. I couldn't find it. The Rain family were so kind! 10/10 will definitely reborn again!

If I had to choose a favorite video game it would be this game, there's simply nothing else quite like it. This game is basically a community survival sim, and while there are other multiplayer survival sims out there that allow you to build communities there are few in which you absolutely need to survive. I've never played another multiplayer game with strangers where my strongest feelings toward those strangers is gratitude and appreciation. I'm glad to be in this randomly assigned society with them for my brief hour of a life. The game can feel very frustrating at first since every simple task is elaborately complex with a lot of steps that require specific items which might have their own sets of steps. This is intentional and an important part of the game, as teaching and learning with other players is a huge part of player interaction. My first randomly assigned parent in the game taught me how to bake a pie given existing resources our village already provided. After that I spent several games just baking pies which was sometimes difficult as some villages I was born into didn't have have the same resources, so I had to figure out how to create or obtain my pie ingredients. But bit by bit I learned more about where different things came from and picked up new skills from watching or asking other players. I survived and grew through the work of more experienced players but no one seemed bothered that I wasn't pulling my weight in my villages yet. I've put many hours into the game now and have taught many skills to many other players. There are still many things in the game I do not know or understand even after my many hours, as I prefer to learn almost exclusively in-game (aside from looking up a few recipes online). I could go on and on, but in summary everything about this game feels incredibly human in the most warm and positive sense of the word. I am small and helpless and everything is hard, but I am not alone and everyone around me wants me to succeed. There are trolls of course, but I find the mechanics of the game makes it hard for them to really thrive and encourages and empowers a community that shuts them down quickly.

I didn't expect a game so rudimentary and clunky to be so immersive. My mom clothed me, fed me, named me, and taught me to farm potatoes. I was sad when she died, and struggled for the remainder of my life to give her a proper burial. I died next to her grave, right after my little sister said, "you did good bro." It was a good life. Also, I thought the tutorial was very good.

The game is a constant cycle of loss. I enjoy that. I had grown pretty attached to my mother I spoke with her throughout my life, until she died. I was there at the end. We knew it was the end. she was with her twin sister, standing in the graveyard. I always wanted to be with her until the end as I couldn't bare her just disapearing one day. The grave yard her and her sister stood in was huge, id estimate around half a thousand graves. I spent my entire life burying people they all went into graves in a 3x4 grid group separated by a path that pattern repeated. I would give people headstones but it didn't really seem respectful as the absence of one was the only thing that could make someone notice your place of rest in the sea of graves, I didn't want her and her sister to just be another grave. She meant something to me. She was my mother. I gave both of them a special grave. right near the nursery right by the graveyard. No one will ever know why those strangely placed graves are there. But ill remember. its because my mom died and ill never see her ever again. Its so... Unique. No other game comes to mind that rips away relationships from me, yeah characters I like die in shows and movies and games... But REAL. LOVING. people that care about me is so much worse. Something about being able to log on and to make than loose a parental figure is such an intoxicating power. Its a relationship that never slowly, inevitably dies. Its a relationship that will forever be in its prime. In your memory at least. Great game. Couldn't recommend it more. Can't say i'm sure why tiktok "cozy games" accounts make reviews of it. A note to the developer: Hello, You have created something truly amazing. I couldn't cause so much human suffering if I tired. Nothing has made me feel, sorrowful. Some things like politics or death or my fleeting teenage experience give me some dread every now and then. But sorrow is something special. I cant say this enough, great work. Also, an edit: Ive done some thinking and I would really love some more "control" over when I loose my mother. So if I could have the ability to stab people without any prerequisites that would be nice. I could truly be there at the last moment. No off screen death resulting in my mother just disappering, ill be there for every. single. second. Maybe even have a nice little last chat.
