Always a fan of Achievement grinds, and this game played to this perfectly. Got some old Japanese gambling that had a love child with Balatro, with just one gripe; the coding did me dirty. Was on a filthy grind on endless mode with my tickets somewhere over 100 million or so. (wicked card pairings and some great gambling ((doubled or halved)). I'm a proper gambling machine, so I decided to take the challenge one more time for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles as I was on my 1500ths reroll to stack my numbers, and I ended up in the negatives. can't even take the challenges priced at zero. so instead of getting to the peak of leaderboards, I just ended up top 100. saddest day of my life prolly.
Sorry guys, but I don't think this game deserves as low a review rating as "mixed". It's very cheap, it's pretty (art style of tarot-like cards is very beautiful, I think they could print the physical decks and make a lot of money off it), it's quite fun and addictive. Yes, it is a game about randomness and yes RNG will hurt you a lot. But it's the main point of the game in the first place and devs embrace it fully with a lot of RNG in upgrades and other game mechanics added on top of the plinko one. But the game is very upfront about it and gives you a lot of instruments to overcome even the worst results of RNG or really risk the "not so good run" to make it epic or instantly fail. And yes it is all about hitting the curve of exponential growth, if you hit it, you literally cannot lose the run. And in general it's not so hard to achieve it, if you know what you are doing. But it is a good thing! It is fun to achieve it and to be a little overpowered and it is what you want if you have 30 minutes to relax in a game during your day, without too much challenge and with a lot of fun sounds, fireworks and earning big money in game.
As a former rank #1 plimbo player (currently rank #2 but will be #1 again shortly), and the first in the world to reach round 1000 (legitimately, not with hacks like these losers are doing that keep getting wiped off the leader board), I can say this game requires a certain mindset to fully understand and comprehend the way plimbo is meant to be played this game is a test of stones and cohones to see who can actually last the longest as never being able to fail a round is almost a guarentee this game is about optimizing your plimbo build so much that shaving even 0.5seconds off a round time is a big deal. with my current setup I am getting 1 round every 4.3593 seconds and hoping to drop that significantly the king of blimpo has no idea what is coming for him and I will be taking back the rank 1 spot as was my birth right and destiny
