Being multiplayer only is certainly not a thing for everyone, but honestly as a sucker for classic Unreal Tournament style Arena Shooters, I miss these days of multiplayer FPS action that wasn't bogged down by COD Perks, Season Passes, or Activision Blizzard. It's a joy to play if you just need a small niche community to play a few rounds of TDM, FFA, or the classic CTF modes with Please never let this game get shut down.

I do love instagib here much more than in Quake Champions because here you have railjump, more settings to adjust the game for yourself and uniformed hitbox (against QC where everybody picks Nyx). There are no abilities as well so in instagib you can test your pure skill. 2024 is almost over and there are some people still active.

One of the best game concepts ever made, ,it's original Quake 3 is 25 years old and allot of players still play it. What else can you say about a game that players still play 25 years after it was created.

Truly the definitive way to play Quake nowadays. While Quake 3 Arena's presentation & atmosphere is better (nothing will ever beat Christian Antkow's iconic voice as the announcer), Quake Live has the best gameplay of the entire Quake franchise. It's basically Quake 3 on steroids! As a newbie, I've been getting stomped on by other players, but that's all part of the fun though. Even at only 14.5 hrs as of the time of this review, I've already improved massively since I first started. If you're willing to go through a tough learning curve, there is so much fun to be had with Quake Live!
