I'd been interested in Roki just based on it's art style, and it's grounding in Scandinavian folklore. I was really happy to find that Roki delivers on those expectations, while also surprising me with some great storytelling of its own, as well as some fun puzzle designs that weren't too challenging. The three act structure made for a well paced experience, while the twists and turns along the way made it difficult to put down. I also appreciated that the sound design and music were so well produced. My only criticism is that I found that the third act could have wrapped up sooner, but the epilogue made me glad that I stuck with Roki. I can definitely recommend it for anyone who is interested in a good story with lots of cool art and thoughtfully designed puzzles.

Röki is a fairy tale come to life, but not the sugar-coated kind. It’s the kind that feels ancient and a little eerie, the kind whispered around a fire on a cold winter’s night. It’s a story about loss, family, and the courage to face the unknown, wrapped in a world of Scandinavian folklore. If you love narrative adventures, folklore-inspired worlds, and stories that linger in your heart, Röki is a must-play. It’s a game about bravery, healing, and the magic hidden in the darkest places. Story-rich puzzle adventure with traditional point-and-click mechanics, set in a world of Norse mythology and folklore. Sometimes, there's a bit too much walking back and forth to solve a puzzle, but it might just be me:) Be aware that the game touches on quite heavy subjects, such as death, loss, trauma, guilt, grief, etc. PS Tomte!

Visually beautiful, compelling, moving. Exploring was a delight & the world felt real. The puzzles were fun brain teasers and felt very satisfying to solve. I grew to love the characters very much & would love to see more from them one day. Plays wonderfully on Steam deck.

A really fun and heartfelt puzzle action adventure game! Puzzles weren't to obtuse and all led to each other easily. All 'action' sequences weren't stressful and could be taken at your pace and you weren't rushed. Story was very moving and ended nicely. Controls where nice and easy and could be done by a younger player. Bought on a sale, but would have bought full price.
