To me RAGE 2 feels like Mad Max but sci-fi. The wasteland setting, vehicles, and raiders give it that Mad Max vibe, while the futuristic weapons, cybernetic enemies, and fast gunplay sometimes feel like a more chaotic version of Cyberpunk 2077's combat. Mad Max + Cyberpunk + crazy FPS combat = RAGE 2. Definitely worth playing if you enjoy this kind of stuff.😋
9.5! I LOVE THIS GAME!! I dont write many reviews- but this is my kinda game. I played Mad Max and Rage 1, they were similiar games and both good time killers/long gameplay games. Ive had a few errors but all in all this game ROCKS! Love the open world, search and find kinda games- not TOO many keybindings, which I hate in newer games- thety req using all ten fingers and some toes to use items. There is some searching online to find "how to"s, still a few things I cant figure out but Im old lol.. the story is more straightforward than rage1 imo, and theres lots of places to find all over the world, not on the maps, which is so cool.. Keeping me play for days! (on easy of course lol). The levels are insane- bad bosses, hordes of baddies, puzzles, hide n seek stuff, special perks, and on and on.. I think this is the BEST solo rpg/fps game Ive ever played, hands down..
Gameplay RAGE 2 is a sandbox FPS game set in a post-apocalyptic world, similar to Mad Max and Fallout. You play as the last ranger. Your goal is to destroy the general and his army, who attacked your base at the start of the game, and bring peace and order to the Wasteland. There are also different bandit factions in the game, and you can make the region safe by destroying their bases. You can find special places called Arks, which give your character cool powers and weapons. You can drive your vehicle to explore different locations on the map and gather loot. Additionally, you can chase enemy convoys and use the loot to upgrade your vehicle Graphics I think the graphics of the game are very good. The Wasteland map is well-designed. I really liked the visuals such as explosions, death animations and the environment. Considering the release date of the game it has great graphics. Audio The sound effects in the game are also among the things I liked. I especially enjoyed the voices and shouting of the enemies while fighting them. I usually played with the music turned off. Story You play as the last ranger in the world, living with your foster mother in a military base called Vineland. At the start of the game, your main enemy, the general, attacks the base with a mutant army and kills almost everyone, including your foster mother. Your goal is to complete "Project Dagger", a mission left behind by your mother. With the help of your allies in the Wasteland, you destroy the general. To do this, you help your allies and complete your ranger duties by clearing out bandit dens across the Wasteland. Difficulty The game is not very hard, and it gets easier when you get new abilities and weapons. Personally, the boss fights felt easy to me. When you attack enemy bases on the map, you should check their difficulty levels. I can say that the Shrouded faction is the hardest bandit group. Also, beware of those Transformers-like flame-throwing robots in the River Hogs group. The Goons are usually easy, but you should be careful with the ones who fight with shields.
This is my Far Cry A meh story in a whatever world But id absolutely cooked with the combat here. Probably in the top 10 best feeling FPS games of the PS4/Xbox One generation. If you're looking to clear camps in an open world filled with goons and muties to put bullets in, you'll have a great time here.
