I already liked the game before the update; The intro made me bust out laughing, and I loved all the little references to other media in the treasures and such. It's also INCREDIBLY satisfying, especially the sound design. If you enjoy stuff like powerwash simulator, i absolutely recommend giving this a go. It did kind of make my laptop chug a little, but most games aside from minesweeper tend to cause problems, so I just bumped the graphics all the way down and enjoyed it looking a little sandier The update is also very good; I liked getting to keep my gear and money, while still having some new challenges and upgrades to buy on the new island. I wish there was a little more in the way of customizing and rescuing animals on the second island (and I also lowkey miss the fun treasures from the first island), but in fairness i'm not far into it yet. Either way, I'm enjoying it immensely. Shout out to the devs for the free update with a whole new island instead of locking it behind a dlc or a "chapter 2" price tag <333 and if anyone thinks i wrote this with ai because i use semicolons, AI STOLE MY WRITING STYLE FROM ME. ♥♥♥♥ ai (and also mad respect to the devs for removing all genai content from the game after community feedback, yall are real for that)

Its Sad that you cant even do a funky low res Blender / UE animation without people instantly thinking it CAN ONLY BE AI!! Yes the INDIE GAME IS JANKY it IS INDIE AND A FRESH RELEASE. I love the fact that the game doesnt take itself to serious, im here to clean up trash not have a story novel to uncover. It actually tilts me seing these shortbus negative reviews. Those are the same people going to a Bakery and complaining that they dont sell car tires.

Enjoyable while it lasts....but dear god i feel sorry for the main character living on bananas and coconuts...Hoovering up dead fish, but no option to actually go fishing is a blatant own goal. There is no replay value in this game AT ALL. No rewards for anything but a damn dog with arse worms that occasionally finds a gold bar that wins you nothing. Where are the side quests?...where are the motivational things to do that make you come back and play a game that can be completed in a few hours????? rescuing the animals gives no rewards ,so what is the point????

Neat game, but would've liked it to be a little longer. I hit 100% in 3 hours. Supposed to be an update coming out next month, so hopefully that adds some content to make it more lengthy. As-is, just kind of a fun time killer. To dev: I highly recommend a New Game + mode for more replay value. Would be neat if every time you New Game +, you unlock a new animal to rescue, which will add to your home. Would make this more of a long burn game, but also need to really add functionality to those home upgrades. Right now they appear purely cosmetic. It's a pretty game, but I don't boot it up just to admire the shack on the beach, y'know?
