I love everything about this game, it's great for just killing time, however long you want, it's nostalgic for those of us who remember going to rent VHS tapes lol. Changes I would love to see added to the game: -Ability to upgrade employee skill levels (including the ability to automatically bounce between tasks as needed) -Ability to set automatic tasks for employees. Like before the store opens, everyone works the return desk, and once the store opens the employees will start their set tasks. -Second register -Third employee -More genre specific VHS bundles in the market rather than mixes -Customize employee uniform -Ability to customize more about the stores appearance -Ability to customize existing in game decor + more decor -Ability to place objects in areas you currently are not allowed to. -Someone else mentioned this, but option to set how employees stock items would be great. It irks my formally diagnosed OCD when they stock them vertically down one side rather than fill the top shelf and work their way down. -The tv you can buy on the cart plays only the same two things the wall mounted ones do, it would be cool if they added a small selection of tapes you can actually play on it just to make it worth having. -As others have also stated, I do feel that the game can become tedious and grind heavy for no reason, it's a game, keep it fun! I have to add that as someone who suffers vertigo, I wish there was a setting to turn off some of the more unnecessary in game steps, for example: when checking tapes in, I wish I didn't have to do the back and forth and rewind, I wish it were more so just clicks on the computer. It would help reduce the motions I have to do that trigger vertigo and nausea. Same with snack and drink refills, I wish you could just scroll to the next item without having to look down each time. It would be nice if one clicked stocked the shelf automatically with the genres that match the genre of the shelf instead of one by one as well. I find myself having to take breaks after only like 15 minutes or so of gameplay because all the excess motions are making me sick. I love the game, I just wish it there were settings for those of us with disabilities. I get that it's simulating running a rental store and in real life you would have to do all these things, but it's a game and developers have the power to make it more fun than real life and more accessible to everyone :)

If one more person goes unpunished after breaking **MY** movies, then gets mad when I make **THEM** pay for it and throw everything on the floor, I am going to learn how to mod a game just so I can add a gun and shoot everyone of them. Good game.
A few decades have passed since I worked at a major chain video store. I gotta say, this pretty much captures the essence of working there. At least the fun parts anyway. Here's a few things I recall from that time that the devs/modders could add to enrich the simulation further: - Leaving customer notes in the computer - Customer bans - Video game rentals - Repairing of damaged videos - Upselling bundle deals on concessions, especially to strike late fees - Customers returning videos from the competitor and then getting mad at employees for it - Customers returning empty cases - Customers returning their owned videos - Customers returning home videos and *ahem* other things - Sending customers to collections for late fees, and subsequent phone calls from mortgage loan officers inquiring about them - Shoplifting and employee theft - The creepy part-timer in their late 40s that works Friday nights just so they can hit on young female employees and patrons. - Forced send backs and dumpstering of a majority of tapes, because distributors would much rather sell them at full price when the New Release rental period ends.
This game is great, aside from the fact that there's no way to punish the customers who throw tapes on the ground when they don't like that you're making them pay their broken or late fees. I also think that this game would be very fun if there was a multiplayer aspect, as me and my husband both love the game and wish that we could play it together. Aside from that, this game is great.
