I don't really want to critique this game with a bad review, because I love immersive-sims, there are not a lot of them out there for objective reasons and it's truly a feat to make one, especially for an indie studio. Thus, I will mark this review as a positive one just to help devs, but really it's like 50-50 for me. 1. Balance. It doesn't exist in this game. I died 2 times in this game. One time due to badly designed ladders from Half-Life 1. One time I was killed by an eastern egg, won't spoil it. You always have infinite amount of ammo, heals, resources for upgrades. Even if you don't use stealth and a bunch of environment-based mechanics this game has. I just killed everyone I saw. 2. Because you always have everything and you are literally immortal, you aren't really motivated to use anything the game has to offer. I believe I explored 99% of the game, but I did so just because I was curious, I didn't have to do it to progress, to make my life easier etc. 3. Game is really not intuitive. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing when you have literally no clue (or worse - false clues) where to go and what to do. 4. Interdimension hub is a cool thing, but sometimes it feels like it doesn't really save you any time because of where exactly it's located. And you will have to run a lot, like A LOT in the second half of the game. And there's sprinting mechanics or at least stamina enhancer, all you can do it is to use metamods to teleport. 5. Metamods are OP. Once you unlock them, you literally have god-tier level buffs without any debuffs. Once I acquired my very first metamod I didn't use a heal once for the rest of the game. I've accumulated so much medkids and food that I had to just drop them somewhere in hub. Don't even bother with recycling it, resources are infinite. 6. UI is bad. Like really bad. I don't even know where to start here, but I believe everyone who played this game will agree with me on this point. Every time you have to use local equivalent of pip-boy it causes frustration. Good thing you don't have to use it often. Is it a bad game? No. It's a game with a hell lot of potenial, it was obviously made with a lot of love and care, but it fails to deliver because it has some fundamental problems. It has a lot of good sides too, I just didn't mention them, but I wouldn't play it for so long or write this review if the game was trash. If you are a fan of immersive sims - play it for sure, it's not like you have anything better to play lmao. I wish devs all the best, god bless you if are willing to make another immersive-sim, I'm sure it will be much better next time.

It's excellent. It's an immersive sim that does not hold your hand at all. And there are multiple ways of approaching and solving a problem. It has a really 3D pixelated aesthetics that reminds me of the System Shock remake. With all that said, it isn't without some issues. It's buggy here and there. But it did just released. They are not much of an issue and there is an unstuck feature for such things. It's also not expensive. A big selling point for this time and age. I recommend it.

What a great game! Interesting story and simple gameplay and really cool visuals. I would say, if you like what you see on the storepage, thats exactly what you get, but that isn't true. There is so much love in this game, it feels very rewarding to explore and actually find stuff in some corners of the areas. I completed the game in about 10 hours (but didnt found all there is by far) and i enjoyed it so much. It constantly reminded me of the times where devs put alot of heart in their products. I can see myself coming back at some point maybe even trying to get some of the challenging achievements (not killing stuff etc) Only things i didn't like : -The Map is almost useless. It can help sometimes, but the controls are annoying and it doesnt show much. -The inventory management is to slow. I wish there was a quicker way to store things (or maybe i just havent found out how). You have to drag and drop every single item to storage. -One optional area that is very frustrating. It just wasn't fun to the point where i thought i softlocked myself because i was dying over and over again until i figured out what to do. (But at least that part is optional) It reminded me alot of System Shock & Prey (2017) in the best way possible. This game deserves more love!

Its good, a fun system-shock style experience. That said, there are quite a few bugs, strange interactions, and strange balancing. Despite what the main screen says, I found that 1999 difficulty ended up seeming rather weak even though it was already a higher level than "intended" (one of the bosses died in just 3-4 hits) , and I ended up with a completely overflowing inventory of health and ammo by the end, having never really even gotten close to running out for the entire game. One of the mutamods, octopus heart , also completely trivializes 95% of combat via making you all but literally immortal. Similarly, several of the guns become able to one-shot even the strongest of the common enemies after only a bit of work. Maybe that highest difficulty level would have been better, but it really seems like some big parts of the game are missing a major balance pass.

The first 2.5 hours seem veery promising. Reminds me of Prey 2017 more than anything else. Might as well be the spiritual successor. Also works flawlessly on my ROG Xbox Ally with SteamOS, so it should do the same on the Deck.
