Game is great fun, polished, has multiplayer and made by one person by themselves believe it or not. I bought it for me and my ex-gf to play together and we had tons of fun before she passed away in march and out of all the pirate loot in this game the real treasure was the time spent playing it while laughing, flirting and making pirate booty jokes with her. 10/10. Whether you wanna sail solo, play with a hearty crew of friends or be like us and make your time a treasure for two i highly recommend this and its cheap too! 5 dollars. Practically feels like piracy! Yarharharhaar!

Game is pretty decent for being so cheap. I like most of the mechanics, the art style is great and I feel like a pirate. Drinking rum is awesome I do have some gripes, but I know this isn't an AAA game so these are more suggestions than things wrong with the game. Ships are great but should be a little faster regardless of boost. Sprinting should not be towards the cursor, you should be able to sprint parallel to the enemy. Enemies are too accurate with projectiles, and even dodging, I still get hit. Some new songs for the healing would also be nice. I have an entire playlist of good songs that would fit the game if the dev wants some ideas. There is absolutely one thing that needs to be changed immediately, The amount of enemies needs to be drastically reduced, and for far away enemies to become disinterested. Otherwise it is incredibly tedious and repetitive to get through a level and going "oh another enemy that I've already killed 5000 times" every 2 seconds. I just took a break from the game because it was getting so tiring to kill the same enemies over and over again. Personal notes to the Dev: I suggest you change the music in the trailer to a different song or lower the actual game sounds because they are overpowering. The specific song I had in mind is called "Avast" by Stormfrun. It is a less metal song, fits the game better, and actually has the words "rum and gun" in it. You could maybe use the current song "Drink" by Alestorm as music for the skeleton healing fiddle. Despite my suggestions, Rum and Gun is overall a great game and worth the price

Good action RPG with a pirate theme. For a solo dev, he did a very good job at creating a game which for me is a tribute to the hack&slash games from the early 2000s. One thing which I didn't found very useful in the game was the money, as there aren't lots of places to spend them, and what you can buy is usually replaced pretty quickly by the random loot found on enemies. Another thing which is a bit unusual, is that on level-up you get to choose from 4 options, but there are ways to ensure you get the skills you want. The game does end promising a sequel, which I hope will be made. Surprisingly, there is a tower defense level, which was very fun. For the price, the game is basically given free, so I recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxing game, to be played between longer ones.

Bought this game on sale expecting a sort of lower-meh indie game experience, but it's genuinely a fun experience -- barely got through the first act and i've already had a blast. Would recommend this for a fun time-user.
