One of my favorite Rusty Lake games so far. The family tree concept makes the story really engaging, and each chapter feels unique with its own puzzles and atmosphere. The puzzles are challenging but fair, and the creepy art style, music, and dark humor create an unforgettable experience. If you enjoy point-and-click puzzle games with a surreal story, this is definitely worth playing.
This Lake has some Rusty Roots, and I sense some Cubes trying to Escape...,. Rusty Lake Roots take place after Cube Escape: Theatre and before Cube Escape: The Cave, I don't know why, but it does. A very nice point and click puzzle game where you go through the years following a family tree, some of the puzzles are abhorrent and there was at least one I had absolutely zero idea of what to do even after looking at a walkthrough but overall a very good experience, about 3.5 hours of gameplay!!
Wait omg there is a lore to this puzzle game!!??!! I freaken love this series!! Super excited about the next one now. I enjoy the tunes, the voice acting, the way it's drawn, the puzzles!! I feel like I'm doing some real big girl puzzle solving with this one, love it! The secret chapter in this one was extremely confusing and impossible for me to figure out by myself sooo I did follow a guide to fully solve it. Will come back for my one missed achievement so i can 100% LOVE LOVE LOVE<3
This game is as fun as it is weird, and it is very strange. it, along with their other games, give off a The Shining, Twin peaks kind of vibe (im pretty sure its heavily inspired by the latter) which i LOVE. if your into that and love puzzles and escape room type games, this is definitely for you! I definitely also recommend going through their other (crazy cheap) games. its complicated to go in a chronological order so maybe do some research on what to play in order if your interested. ive had the honor to chat with a dev of these games and to say they are respectful and kind would be an understatement. totally recommend!
