June 2025
Pros: For early access it's pretty fun, I really enjoy playing with friends. Characters are cute and I enjoy the way they run around. I am excited to see what the future chapters bring. The game is of course a rouge like with bullet hell and physical type attack patterns. If that is up your alley then this game is for you. -Difficulty, tier 37 is crazy fun -Combat is fluid -Easy to understand especially with guidance from the journal, being able to read what everything does is huge! -Multiplayer and solo friendly -Bosses that are in the game are unique -End game currency is always useful -Diverse characters to choose from under the name "costumes" -A lot of replay-ability even with very little chapters -RNG protection on anvils and miracles Cons: Builds in this game CAN be diverse, however there is very few that are actually good. Item types, weapons, miricales (career path), and costumes (characters) need to be expanded or improved. I have used just about every item in the game now and I can say that ice relics and storm clouds have the most synergy because everything that you pick up works off of each other, including the weapon that you choose. I can't think of a single weapon upgrade that has an item type tied directly to it other than the ones I mentioned. This causes multiple things to be true! -Unfairness to other item types! Storm clouds and especially ice relics get an unfair advantage due to how damage stacking works in this game. For every item you pick up, not only do you have the effect the item comes with but you also get a passive buff related to the item type. When you pick up an ice relic it gives you a damage buff for every ice relic in your inventory but because the relics do ice damage, you can also stack ice damage boosting items on top of that. Storm clouds work the same way but to a lesser effect. Storm cloud items passively increase storm cloud generation instead of out right boosting it's damage while you can also boost lightning damage with other items. THIS IS NOT TO SAY THE WAY THESE ITEMS WORK IS BAD but the fact all the other items in the game don't get this benefit can be felt greatly. How I would fix this by using fire as an example, is by adding a fire related equivalent item type to the game and giving certain fire related weapons access to that item type the way ice relics and storm cloud weapons do. Causing fire to then be on par with the other elemental types. This can also be said for non elemental type items. -Miracles and leveling. Just like with weapons, the root upgrades can be just as unfair to other items. I think the astronomer miracle should be what all the other and future miracle paths strive to be. It is the only one that gives meaning to leveling up by increasing the power of planet items as you gain levels and gives meaning to an item type that isn't ice relics or storm clouds. Future miracles should include other fun items for example, adding something like a weapon specialist miracle where it boosts the power of kunai, chakrams, palace cards, ect. -Other damage types and statuses suck. Things like corrosion, life steal, and chaos are just nothing items and there is nothing in the game that you can build into these items to make them worth your time. Life steal is so bad and using the vampire bat was not worth the struggle it took to unlock it. -No I-frames when revived Nit Picks: -Items should be weighted based on chosen miracle and weapon upgrade IMO, especially if the item pool is to be expanded -The bomber Mole boss should have better attack indicators. It is already hard to see with my vision on some attacks let alone someone who needs glasses or is color blind! I actually find him harder than the final boss. lol -The attack from the book mini boss that drags you while shooting projectiles will end your run if you don't have an answer for it. -I think all costumes should have an item that comes with it -Red fox is bad -I wish the game had more defined hit boxes on the character and projectiles like other bullet hells. Perhaps a walking speed focus mode and non lethal visual borders around the projectiles like in Touhou.

Great game, but i wouldnt recommend people buy it *yet*. There just arent many fun builds atm, i mean, there are, but there isnt enough to make them work or diverse. This are the beginnings of a great game, but its not there yet, like having a bite of an awsome apple and being denied more, it would have been better to not taste the apple in the first place. Buy it when it fully releases.

the game is fun, my only problem is when played with a controller i thought it would be, one stick moves the other aims twin stick shooter style but i was wrong, please make this a option as i feel it would be so much more fluent, much like the kbm gameplay

This game has so much promise. I find it to be in a very good spot already, the combat is fluid, the aesthetic is charming, and I rather like the artifact system they have going. Have I reached most of the game's content at this point? Yes, but it certainly looks like more is on the way. Are there some stability issues and bugs? Yes, but they are being worked on, and the interaction with the community regarding those has been pretty solid so far. All that said, I would highly recommend giving this a try as I can easily see it being in my top 5 roguelikes of the year.
