Pretty good game, felt a bit harder than the first one until the golf carts. Golf carts changed the pace of the combat for me on the surface a decent amount. Had crazy horsepower too I've climbed mountains with these bad boys and wiped out entire settlements. 10/10 would ride the golf carts again

Hey you, you got that funky groove. GAMEPLAY: It has the same THE FOREST vibe, but with new feels as well. A sequel story that continues from the last game and best of all, Voice acting for the cutscenes. An Island that feels 4x the size of the original. With way more beautiful scenery. Ooh I could build here, no I want to build there! The survival element might have changed from the last time I played THE Forest. As in you will not die from starvation, if you do not eat or drink...at least on the lower difficulties like normal or less. The eating and drinking only gives you buffs. Which I prefer over the dying aspect TBF. The crafting is still there and a larger assortment of items. The building...It is a lot more fun than The Forest, but also can have its own challenges. One can create beautiful structures, but comes at a cost. How can I state? Adding 8 logs and then removing 5 of those logs, in order to have your perfect angle. It was challenging, but the results were so beautifully satisfying. I had a blast building in this game. There is solar power added as well. For lights and traps.(electric fences and more) The weapons. We have the standard ones from The Forest and we got some new ones as well. First is we have Guns guns guns, and more guns VaultHunter... hehe. There are some run of the mill guns in this game. Pistol, Shotgun, Magnum pistol and even a rifle. Some with addable scopes, lasersights and flashlights. Some of the weapons mostly the melee, but not excluding the firearms can be upgraded with a spoiler power/ore and blueprint. The weapons part II. There is a stun baton and a stun gun. Great for coop. One stuns, the other kills. A lot of different kind of arrows to be crafted. and they also added grenades. Digging and mining have also been added. Not a great ton, just enough to show that it is not The Forest reskinned. You get companions. They introduced a couple of adorable and funny companions. Whether it is bad AI or just their character. I absolutely adored Kelvin the brained damaged :(, a team member that came to the Island with you(that can be save at the beginning, which you totally should. He can help you gather items, finish what you was building, and even gather you food. you get companions. There is also a friendly mutant. Called Virginia, Virgenny, or even just V. She is a gun wielder and protector. She will have to know you are a safe person to be around and you will have to gain her trust. Both companions are need for some of the alternate endings. I love them both. They are both so sweet. Music: OMG, this was a really great part. Not only is there background music for the moments. There is a radio that you can find in the game. You can place it in your base, carry it around, or even give it to your companion Kelvin to keep the boombox a playing. The music is def 70s-90s vibe. I could go on paragraphs, just with how each song hits so well. With the games I have planned this year... This will be my game of the year. 120hrs with one playthrough. And some testings plays with building. This game to me is awesome and nostalgic. Voted for it as MY Game of the Year
