Overall, I love the worldbuilding so so much, it has so much potential to be opened further into a long-term series. The characters are so lively and enjoyable, they aren't some mindless power-wielders but real creatures in the world of this game, really makes me thought what would I do if I was one of them. The crime execution around the power is creative, it's really mind-blowing to me especially Case 4, despite I still can guess the culprit even before the game progressed, it's still nice knowing my deduction still working after watching Detective Conan's movies. I still really recommend this game for who likes detective visual novel. ///warning: spoiler However, I have to drop the game after Case 4 because I'm baffled for the amount of sudden romance between Case and Redfins. Honestly, I didn't even realize these two supposed to have attraction to each other until a lot of characters mention it in Case 4. Does this make the story worse overall? I supposed not, I just don't like the way it happens so to me, yes. I know Case is special from the start: he's brave; he's smart; his moral is good, not black but not completely white; an orphan boy working from the rural to big city with a dream and imagination about making a better world. Love me a typical shounen boy protagonist, I won't complain. But in romance I don't like it, I would love for Case to express more about himself and having their personal moment in the rooftop more about romance interaction before Case 4 instead of talking around the crime. I can't see the directions so I can't reach the goal. Even right before Redfins start the line about Case's "special", they still stand with distance like in the banner of the game. It will take a long time for me to pick up the game again and finish it. Btw, Thena and Bryan are cute, if I was Case, I will force them to get back together/j

I was looking for a challenging detective game that is not addictive and not mundane, after playing Danganronpa, the Return of Obra Dinn and the Golden Idol series. This is not really challenging compared to the others, but the dialogues are well written and humourous, and storylines are intriguing so far. Sometimes I feel like some clues are more relevant than the correct answer, but the creativity kind of made up for it I guess.

I revealed the truth of a case, thought there was a logical flaw to it, went back and approached the case completely differently, thought I had it down, refuted MY OWN HYPOTHESIS *IN THE GAME* and then found the actual full truth with no logical inconsistencies. Honestly, that alone made me bump this up from a 6.5/10 to a 7.5/10. I have some minor irks with the UI, pacing of screen elements, etc. but all in all this is definitely a detective game that clearly had a lot of thought put into it, and I admire that.

This game is pretty niche but Im happy I got to experience it. As an ace attorney fan this game managed to scratch the itch of having a crime and managing to solve it, although with a unique and fun twist of magic and magical powers. The cases are quite creative and compelling, especially the last 2 cases which were the definite highlight of the game for me. Overall I would highly recommend this game for people who love these sort of detective games and are searching for something to scratch the itch
