It's fun, but the game does not press up on you enough. Bring the pain and that will allow you really give the players fun stuff to use against it. Also, please allow the player to turn off specific gun/equipment sounds.

Just getting around to reviewing this one. I wish I could give a Neutral review. Sci-Fi, space combat, Bullet Heaven/VS clone. I got this when it was still EA and completed it with 100% of all achievements 26/26 in 230 hours with no issues. No idea why there are so many recent negative reviews unless they massively changed things through updates after I had already finished the game. Lot's of people posting about unfinished skills, buggy mechanics or unfinished content. I didn't experience any of that when I played the game. Most of the people making those claims have less than an hour of playtime. So no idea. I will play the game again at some point soon and see what all the hubbub is about and update my review afterwards if necessary. As of right now I will give a thumbs up to this game. I'm a little surprised so many of the other reviews are so negative. Is some stuff a little unfinished? Yeah. Could it use a bunch of polish? Sure. Did I still have plenty of fun for a while with what's there anyway despite that? Absolutely. I'd say my biggest problem is that some stuff just isn't really explained very well or sometimes at all, and it would benefit a lot from explaining that stuff better (like just get some loading screen tips and make them viewable on the main menu or something) and making more info on stuff more easily visbile while in game too. You can figure that stuff out pretty quickly through trial and error though, and then there are plenty of fun interactions to mess around with, kind of in the vein of something like Soulstone Survivors but in space. It's pretty satisfying finding combos that work well together and seeing how much you can break them. The main reason I stopped playing when I did wasn't because I wasn't having fun but because the build I was having the most fun with spawns so many projectiles that it not only kills bosses in seconds but also the entire Steam Deck in the process. If it ran a bit better I probably would've stuck with it a bit longer messing around with stuff. Either way I got a lot more out of it than I did with something like Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor and had a lot more fun in the process. There are definitely a bunch of other games in this genre that are more worth your time if you haven't played them yet, but there's some decent stuff in this one that could be pretty good if someone just took a little while to clean stuff up a bit and give it a little polish.

Vampire Survivors in space, with separate roguelite transitions/maps. A bit forgiving. Could use far more content and variety of enemies. 8/10.

Fun game. For $5 it is a recommend especially after weapon combos. August it was announced another developer is taking over this game, they said they are many more updated planned. Looking forward for any updates!
