I don't review many games, but I'm leaving one here because I need this game to blow up. It's everything I've been looking for in a map painter game. I have a job, so games like HOI4 or EU4 are just way too much info and have too many systems to be enjoyable for me. If you never cared about things like managing characters or religions and simply enjoyed managing units and an economy, then this game is PERFECT for you. That being said, if the dev reads this please, please, please address sone of the QOL features such as: 1. The recruitable population system, while realistic, makes it impossible to play as a small nation. I conquered England and half of europe as Ireland, but there's no physical way to stand up to the bigger powers because my population stays based on Ireland, making it so I can recuit like 10 units while other nations have dozens. Changing it so you can convert provinces to core provinces or just straight up giving you the population of conquered countries would be a massive help for those smaller countries. 2. Adding more modding tools that let people change the physical map (like making fictional worlds) and reskin units for different time periods (like a napoleonic era or even medieval) would add tons of replayability. Even if all the underlying systems remain exactly the same, just having soldiers looking like different time periods would be cool.
Like people said it's the Temu version of HOI 4. But it is simplified down and if you like the strategic fighting and stuff like that, it's great. I really like it, and appreciate I don't have to watch 4 YT videos on how to play a faction and all the hidden mechanics in the game. It's nice, and easy to pick up.
I 100% recommend this game, your money cant go to anywhere better. except yk rent and food. I like to think I was the 13th person to get this game and i was here from the beginning Anyhow its the stratergy game we allways wanted but never truly found. Its got all the features you would ever want from a stratergy game and map painting game. Scenario editor is the best Absolutely incredible game please support the indie developer that worked so hard on this master peice. In my oppinion its better then hoi4 (having owned that game) this game is not simple, but also not hard to understand. its at the perfect level Thanks dev -MicroChip (a guy) (also gon brag about coming up with the puppet system sorry)
