You spend hours customizing your own character and picking your guns just for the game to remind you, every five minutes, that Kirito is still handsomer, stronger, has a bigger harem, and is the actual protagonist of your life. Recommend.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet had me the second I realized it was built around Gun Gale Online. GGO was easily one of my favorite arcs from the anime, so when this game came out, I jumped on it immediately. I wanted the guns, the outfits, the sci-fi chaos, the weird MMO energy, the dramatic anime nonsense, all of it. And honestly, Fatal Bullet scratched that itch. I love that it lets you make your own character and actually exist in that world instead of just watching the usual cast do everything. Running around with your own avatar, collecting weapons, building your loadout, fighting enemies, and getting pulled into all the Gun Gale Online drama is exactly the kind of fan-servicey RPG nonsense I wanted. The gameplay is fun once you get into it. Shooting, dodging, using skills, upgrading gear, chasing better weapons, and trying to survive while everything is firing at you from every direction. It is messy sometimes, but it has that addictive “just one more mission” thing going on. And then there is the bullet line. Predict the bullet line. That mechanic lives in my brain rent-free. Seeing the line, dodging at the right moment, trying not to panic, and pretending you have elite anime reflexes when really you are just moving on pure survival instinct? Perfect. Stressful. Beautiful. Horrible. I love it. Fatal Bullet is not flawless, but it is such a fun time if you already love Sword Art Online, especially the GGO side of it. It gave me the world, the style, the guns, the customization, and enough anime chaos to keep me hooked. Gun Gale Online fans, this one gets it.

Really the only worthy sword art online game based off the GGO season. It’s good, but its definitely a $20 game you’ll get about 30 hours all DLC included. Here’s hoping echoes of aincrad is good and they fixed the items dropping rather than teleporting them to inventory on kill.

This is by far the best SAO game ever made and unfortunately the last of the good ones before they changed the formula into a chapter based hack'n slash and got greedy putting microtransactions. It would have been so much better if they turned this game into live service and kept releasing new DLCs instead of releasing Alicization because since then SAO games were only going downhill.
