I honestly did not expect much but this is very enjoyable and while it does not have same depth as Songs of Syx it is a very interesting alternative with nicer graphics and a unique eastern spin on things.

This game kept telling me “just one more hour”… and before I knew it, it was already time for sahoor. Very fun and addicting, I definitely recommend it!

I'd like to point out that this game is not tagged as a 'colony sim' so downvoting it for not being enough like Rimworld seems weird to me. It's a CITY BUILDER so buy it if you like CITY BUILDERS. Does it have some touches of rimworld-ness? Yes. NPCs have traits and happiness levels. But it's not nearly as in-depth. If you're looking for a colony sim probably look elsewhere. As far as city builders go I have tried alot of the Banished-like games, and I like this one. It's a bit different (you build walls to make 'rooms' vs organizing a city of buildings) but the trade feels suitably in-depth. I really like the inn-room functionality and am saving up my silver for letting my guests start gambling. It has enemies. I'm playing on medium-difficulty and the enemies do not feel overwhelming. Your beginner army will get the ♥♥♥♥ kicked out of them by some of the stuff that spawns on the map if you aggro it, but there are also alot of get-out-of-jail free godly powers you can unlock at the preaching stand to help yourself if you're in a pinch against enemies. I think the game could be slightly more punishing on classic difficulty, but I could also just switch to hardcore and see for myself, so I don't really see it as an issue. The only real complaint I have is the "deciphering text" minigame on the dragon statue is very clearly chinese inspired and I have no idea what's going on. It's not majorly important to gameplay for me to beat the minigame, so I wouldn't "not recommend" based on that. The English translations are fine! I didn't even know this was originally a chinese game until I went to the discussion page. The dev is actively answering questions, which helped me out.
