Game is super fun so far. Pros: - Combat is awesome. Starts off a little simple, I think the first map takes slightly too long but holy smokes the combat gets so good as the game gets going. - Skill tree and upgrade progression systems are well done - Feel super satisfying when you parry/dodge. Parrying/dodging/dashing through enemy attacks can all trigger an incredible counterattack (probably what you see in the trailer) - Exploring is fun. Because of the upgrade system, exploring the map felt rewarding. - Level visuals look nice. - Runs smoothly on the steamdeck Cons: - Voice acting is a bit meh. - Towards the end, the game tries to focus more on platforming which is NOT this game's strong point and makes completing the game tedious.

Great underrated Metroidvania. Lots to unlock, build and weapon diversity are great. I went for Demon Sword Static buildup build but the mid game crit build and early game speed build look great if you can pull of combos that fast. The combat is simple but each move you unlock changes it wildly and if you play on Normal or Hard you need to learn those moves as you chose to unlock them. The progression system is great, it has these different elements and some early abilities only require 1 element but later abilities require multiple elements to unlock and you don't know what your next level provides for those so make decisions wisely or enjoy the cheap respec option to try builds out. I plan to respec Crit for my next run. Storyline is great and way more voiced dialogue than average games of its like. The text unlocks are good too. Short, informative and sometimes comedical. Really for me its a solid game you should try if you like this style of game.

Very fun, very nice game. Unexpectedly very cool areas. I pkayed on normal mode which was not so hard but still challenging. To 100% it is super easy, just explore and no need for guides at all. Ignore the bad voice acting and scriptnwriting hehehe. Ypu shall enjoy this medium size metroidvania.

I’m not a fan of metroidvania nor 2D platforming game. But i enjoy couple first of hours of this game offering, thus i might keep playing until 100% completion. I like the “souls-like” / rpg feature like bonfire and skill tree. It gives you sense of progression and character development while simultaneously making your gameplay more fun. But at current state, i think more refinement could be made to make the experience more enjoyable in future updates: [*] Enemy re-spawn when you go back to latest bonfire, not even interacting with it. This is not fun. Because there are situations that force you to go back without intention (i.e sliding down or opening shortcut), and we have to kill again just to explore. Enemies should only re-spawn when we REST. That’s how any other game (i have played) with some kind of “bonfire” mechanism works. [*] Animation sometimes stuck when attacking towards enemies. My AP was full, i was not exhausted. I simply move forward while attacking. When my character get too close, it just stand still and couldn’t attack. I need to move further to attack. This is ruining the flow. [*] Parry timing is not clear. There is a flashing red indicator on enemies when they are going to attack. But it’s really hard to tell should you press slightly before, precisely at, or slightly after the red flash. Because in 2D space, especially with multiple enemies sometimes they are standing too close to each other and you just can’t see. Hence in traditional 3rd person action game, we can see the enemy animations from different directions so we can easily counteract the attack either with parry or dodge. [*] Heavy attack can’t be assigned to controller’s Right Trigger. Please give us freedom to bind any button to our controller. Light attack with RB, heavy attack with RT are “souls-like” default. Of course with steam input (or in my case ROG Armory Crate) button mapping could be done easily. But this creates more problems because in-game hints overlays don’t match with buttons we pressed.

This game is an amazing experience. Action platforming, parry heavy soulslike combat, fun and rewarding battle mechanics, huge skill tree... The list goes on. I was obsessed with this game during Early Access and now I've fallen back in love all over again. Well crafted and just SO much fun to play!
