im writing this review because i want to tell you ive enjoyed every minute playing this game i run a standard laptop , ive had no bugs and the graphics are great. ive been solidly enjoying this and saw these negative reviews from spoilt kids its early access if you read their complaints its all as such .. the only reason i havent played this more already is im waiting for my partner to join me and dont want to spoil it until they are with me . if your into camping and exploring games and are a grown adult appreciate that its very early access then im confident in saying you wont be disappointed.

Unreasonable Expectations Hello All, I have been following this game for a while now, i had 80 hrs or so on the demo, helped squish some bugs, ( i found the falling thru the elevator floor bug, and a bunch of others) This is a very early access game, being put together by a very small team. There are going to be bugs, The devs will be adding a lot of content, there is going to be lost or broken saves. These eventualities are unavoidable and expected. you should be getting early access games with these very expectations in mind. Get excited when you find a bug and report it. They need all the help they can get, not bad reviews because your save broke,.. They are going to break! not all new content is backwards compatible. And not just new content can break saves. So please, give these guys and gals a break, save any harsh judgments and comments for after version 1.0. They are responsive and care about what they are doing. I have seen huge progress since downloading the demo a year and a half ago. Keep up the good work devs! Best regards Oneflyingfool P.S Side note to the devs: I gave Windows 11 my sizable middle finger. Game Runs better on Zorin OS 18! Go Penguin!!!

Don’t buy it yet. Right now, the game is just too rough around the edges, and after a few hours you’ll likely find yourself more frustrated than entertained. The demo hints at some of the issues, but it doesn’t fully prepare you for how unfinished the experience feels once you get deeper into it. Think of it like a classic car with a worn-out engine, all the right parts seem to be there, and you can see the potential, but it’s going to take a lot of work (and time) before it’s truly ready to hit the road. If the developers stick with it, I honestly believe this could be a great game in a couple of years. That said, there’s always the risk that development slows down or stops altogether. For now, unless you’re comfortable playing a true alpha experience and dealing with the rough spots, I’d recommend waiting.

What I personally love about this game is the setting. I grew up in the Pacific NW and spent A LOT of my life in the wilderness. It's a very nice mental escape for an old man that can no longer get out and about anymore.

Alright Let's start off with this, I hardly ever write reviews, and this comes from a 70 minute gaming session. From the 70 minutes I played here's what I got. Pros: Graphics: The game started to run great after I turned on NVIDIA performance mode, besides this the graphics were very beautiful. Nature looks like nature? what can I say? The Clothing system: I do think this could definitely be improved on, having to manage what clothes you wear for storage or for warmth, (Similar to DayZ) but overall a very good feature. Looting: I enjoyed the sense of going to new cabins and ransacking them for scraps, finding clothes, sleeping bags, and whole ass tents. The looting to me feels decent, of course with early access this can be improved on. Cons: Now for the cons, SOUNDS: Sound design was good, when the game had sound. Characters barely make noise, Nature doesn't play tons of sounds, climbing to had no sounds. Sound design just needs a little more. Character Creation: This is just a pet peeve of mine, I enjoy games where I can create my own characters, not to say I don't like the preset ones, just personally I like making my own character to be more immersed into the game. Levels???: I leveled up sometimes throughout my playthrough, they all seem to have the same description to them "Who likes short shorts" not sure if this will be improved On, didn't see to much of this to give a clear answer. Nature: I saw a total of ZERO animals (besides the fish I caught) I didn't seem to see a single bird, boar, bear, frog, or a butterfly. Maybe I was I just super unlucky. Animations: (To clarify I played mostly in FIRST PERSON) The animations are just alright, holding the torch though is by far the worst, you can't even see it (in first person) It goes off the screen and it's just a stick with light. The fishing minigame isn't great either, it just kind of gives you fish for free as long as you can read. Animations do need work. Building: Sometimes won't let me build a sleeping bag, and I'm not sure how to remove old buildables, couldn't for the life of me get rid of a campfire and bed. I Understand this game came out today, and I understand that not everything is perfect, that's why I'm still going to recommend this game to people, I liked the 70 minutes I played, and will play more soon. I want to see this game succeed, and will hopefully follow it's journey. Good luck devs and other players! Mod support would also be cool to add!
