I played this game back in my childhood, but before I could finish it, my PC broke down. Then exams came along, and I lost the motivation to restart. Now, over twenty years later, I'm back to finally complete the journey and claim all the achievements! The Remake DEMO was a great experience. It’s clear the developers truly listen to player feedback and show strong community support. As for the remaining bugs, we just need to give them some time to fix them. Since it’s not a AAA title, lowering expectations slightly makes the experience much more enjoyable. Not sure I'd want to be full price for this, but if you can snag it during a sale it would be worth picking up. The game art style looks quite nice, and the gameplay itself is pretty decent, your standard tactical JRPG affair. The story is interesting, nothing overly mind blowing, but enough to keep you invested for at least one play through. The difficulty curve is a bit all over the place though, with some missions being a breeze to get through and others being incredibly challenging.
Like one saying its only playable on easy, thats somewhat right as the enemy seems to hit every stroke and often crit on normal, making you dead and game over before having the chance of doing anything against it. The faster play option should been x3 as the x2 is not fast enough. Great game! but needs more love from the devs. A dlc in the future would also been great! I would recomend this game.
I think this is a really good game. It has a beautiful design, cool characters, an interesting universe and story, and fun combat. After playing so many Western-market games, this feels like a bit of a breath of fresh air because it has a somewhat different style. I think it’s a must-play for CRPG fans. A lot of people say that the combat can be too difficult in many cases, especially because you often have to fight against large numbers of enemies. However, I think the game is quite manageable if you make sure your party members stay roughly at the same level, prepare properly with the right items (Divine Wine is your best friend), always buy the best gear available, and try to collect the items you can get from treasure chests. At least on Normal difficulty, this has been enough for me to make steady progress. I also really like the deck-building aspect of the game. On top of that, it’s a very easy way to farm gold, so I can pretty much always afford whatever I want from the shops. I’m really enjoying the game so far, although I’m still a long way from the end.
