A solid rpg/puzzle game full of content, with an absurdly high number of unique items and abilities that will shape your playstyle. If you enjoy at least one of the following: challenging RPGs, loadout customization, puzzles, maths, resource management - then you are likely to enjoy Reuinis, regardless if you played any Magic Tower-likes before. Demo has about 10-20 hours worth of content depending on your playstyle so it's worth trying to see if this is your kind of game or not. As an example, I had a mid-late game build with an item that makes all killed enemies shoot magical projectiles at 4 nearby living enemies. Then I added an item that makes all killed enemies die 2 more times (essentially tripling the amount of projectiles), as well as a whole bunch of stuff to boost magic damage. Nothing quite beats the feeling of killing a single enemy and starting a chain reaction which fills your screen with projectiles and particles - tanking your framerate and maybe even freezing your game, and obliterating every enemy on the map in the process...
A solid incremental RPG in the magic tower genre. (Where the battles are predictable and relatively simplistic, but the puzzle is how to use your resources to clear the entire dungeon.) Try the demo first, because if you don't like the genre or the interesting twists (alchemy is basically a factory-builder for upgrades) you're probably also going to dislike the game - but if you do like the genre, it's very good. The basic gameplay loop is that unlike most magic tower games, the (non-randomized) dungeons aren't designed to be beatable on the first day you have access, but the dungeon replenishes itself every day. Use alchemy (resources generated per day factory manager style) and loot from previous visits to purchase upgrades and equipment to fight your way through in the end. I haven't beaten the game yet and intend to edit the review when I have, but at $12 just what I've seen from the demo already justifies a positive review unless it takes a massive turn for the worse. (But I am a big fan of the genre. Again, try the demo first. They've been updating it, so I think it's functionally the same as the first three main-game dungeons. It works in english, even if it's name is displaying in japanese for some reason.) Edit: Having played through the game, I have to say it's pretty much completely lived up to my expectations. I do like that the puzzles that require outside-game-knowledge for bonus loot have skip buttons that either "I'll tell you the answer, write it down and you can grab it when you have the required progression" or "hey, free stuff for you" (Depending on the solution - any puzzle that offers to just give you the reward is something any player could reasonably do, if they knew the answer - for an example that is not knowingly spoilers - probably not actually in the game - switching your display mode from fullscreen to windowed and back while standing in a specific location.) Some builds and tools are fundamentally broken, but most stuff is either "seems reasonably balanced", "expensive/lategame" "just strong synergy" or "requires scarce resources". A few equipments contain random elements, but again - they're late-game and/or difficult to get in early-midgame.
