This game for me was one of the best horror games i've played. Good job darkphobia, I got jumpscared more than any other horror game. The story, and atmosphere were amazing. I loved the cutscenes and it reminded me of some of the Love,Death, and Robots episodes.

I played The Lightkeeper on stream. We spent aprox +5h on the game (the gameplay alone is like 1-2h?), because it was so interesting to listen to eachothers theories and thoughts throughout the game, the happenings that occured and the endings. In short, this game has a good (yet heavy) story that is so easy to open up for discussions, thoughts and debates. I really appreciate that - especially in a indie horror game. The graphics was stunning and I feel like Darkphobia really captured the tension with the grey-ish tone, the fog and overallt eerie atmosphere. I absolutley loved the cutscenes!!! I also love the fact that the jumpscares was carefully placed and not all over the place. I liked the slowburn with getting to know the island and explore and then jump into the story and horrors. We did not run into any bugs, graphic errors or major potentional A.I.-vibes at all during my gameplay. I didn't see anything in the editing afterwards either. It was a very smooth gameplay. I did however, catch some small mistakes; for example like a cigarette flipped the wrong way, the towel when wiping blood was missing, a piece of a wall by bed was misplaced. But all of these things is something that I bet the devs will look into and fix the best they can. It was nothing that hurt the experience. Overall: a fantastic indie horror with great atmosphere, smart scares, and a story worth talking about long after you’re done. Highly recommend! First of all, let's address the elephant in the room. Yes, the game does use A.I, even though in the latest update they removed the A.I voices and stated that the "game is 100% A.I free", I still don't believe it. There's something about the game that screams A.I. But also I remember that this is not a AAA game from a company that can 100% pay voice actors and more people to work on the project. There was probably less than 5 people working on this. I want to believe that not everything is made with A.I and there's passion behind this and someone that came up with the art design, the story, the camera angles and the atmosphere and I am okay if they have to use A.I to help them achieve that. The game is ok, it's cheap and short, amazing atmosphere and setting Another thing I wanted to mention is that the game has a lot of technical issues, the game feels like it needed more time to fix certain bugs and improving the user experience; - Some doors have weird floating models. - You can see some walls are not fully connected and you can see through them - Some cutscenes have some issues. For example, you can see what I mean in one of the trailers that at the minute 0:20 the protagonist is smoking the cigarette from the wrong side. - There is no real controller support. If you connect a controller, your right joystick works as a PC mouse and your right trigger as a left mouse click; it's extremely annoying to move around the menus - Steam Achievements are currently broken and not working I feel a lot of this issues, if not all, can be solved by just taking more time to develop the game. You only have 1 first impression.

Fantastic game. This is how the indie devs should be doing it! This is a 2 hour, short horror game with an actual narrative, frightening atmosphere, great visuals/performance, and more than just cheap jumpscares with loud deafening noises. All around very well done. I appreciate the native controller layout. It’s 2025, I truly believe all games should ship with a controller layout, considering we now have more ways than ever to play our games. It’s always appreciated when devs take the time to create a native experience versus relying on community layouts. It shows they care about their games. I also love the fact you can quickly reload a save to see all three endings easily once completing the game - no need to replay the entire game to watch them! One thing that truly surprised me was the cinematics/cutscenes. They were excellently done. I was not expecting that level of dedication from a $8 indie horror game. This kind of purchase really makes it difficult to justify these similarly priced indie horror games with the same tired old tropes we’ve been seeing for years. This game (and games like Luto) bring value to this niche corner of the gaming community we love! Darkphobia: I am truly impressed with this game. You guys have a TON of talent, and I hope you keep leading the way so we continue getting games worth playing. My only con, and I’m sure it’s been mentioned before, the achievements appear to be broken. I look forward to seeing what is next from you guys! Edit - I want to mention this because I see a lot of complaints about it. The use of AI voices in the game. Truth be told, I didn’t notice. I don’t find it to be distracting. However - why do it? Contact a friend, or a fan of your games and ask them to do it instead of relying on AI. I would gladly do it for free, and I’m sure I am not the only one. Same thing with any clerical errors in text, we would be glad to step in and help for free. Just mentioning it because there are better ways to go about it, your player base would be happier, and your fans would be glad to help. I suppose it’s a win-win.

Pretty good game. A lot deeper and less in your face scary than Darkphobia's other games. It was still kind of scary though, and the graphics were great. I didn't necessarily mind the AI voices, but some of the dialogue/subtitles were definitely off or not translated well. Overall would recommend
