Played about 18 hours, husband played more. Very fun and addictive game! However...we started noticing some unbalanced issues, such as bow users ability to equip a sword and a bow. Bows are 2 handed, so should be treated as such, especially since other 2 handed melee can't equip a secondary weapon, fairly certain a warrior type can't dual wield I dunno since I didn't try one, but even mages using just a wand can't equip a secondary. Also, magic can not utilize crit which is ironic since crit often appears on magic gear, whereas bow users can utilize crit. I'm guessing other melee classes can as well. Bow users have many skills which synergize without penalty, whereas magic users skills often cost health or do self-damage. Look, I know the title says "Rangers" in it, but the other classes seem to get the shaft. Nevertheless, the gameplay itself, the biomes, the dungeons, it was very fun!

It is an interesting game. Unforgiving if you are not careful. There are MANY BUGS - so buyer be aware Overall I enjoy this game even if it is filled of bugs and cheesy mechanics. The music is chill and you can just walk around and beat enemies/bosses. I is an alright game.

This is one of those games where I'd like a mostly positive thumbs up. Its a less than 5$ game and the experience is simple enough, You choose one of 5 starting classes (equipment) and you get your back store. From there, you're dropped into a 2d/3d World, 2d in sprites, 3d in everything else. The level progression is simple enough, with an optional hunger system. There are magic stones for meta progression, dungeons to clear (more on that) and way points and bosses! Pros -Music (for the first couple of hours) Immersive and adds to that wanderlust feeling of exploring a new dungeon crawling action RPG -Abundance of skills to choose from. Man. There are so many different skills that augment or change how you play the game that truly defines what type of "Class" you get to be. The only downside is that you're level capped to 25 (it takes awhile to get there) There are missile attacks, long melee attacks, AOE attacks, PAssive skills rthat add elemental abilities. This is where the game shines with how deep you can customize your skills you choose. Not to mention, the meta progression lets you upgrade them across runs (to a cap of 5, though UI gives the idea that you can go past this) -Overworld is well crafted and each biome (theres 7) are unique enough that I felt a sense of excitement and wonder (except the 6th biome. Eff that one) -Variety of equipment for customization (you can be naked too and just go 1 punch everything cause funny) - Key rebinding (its a sub 5$ game, some would just not have this, its super useful for controllers and keyboard users) -Bosses. The bosses have enough uniqueness to their design and attack patterns that they feel engaging though, I will say that bosses 4 and onward I nuked down due to a combination of skills and equipment. But thats okay cause you should feel overpowered. Now, The cons. I'd consider these to be nit picky because its a ~5 dollar game but. -The UI, the UI could use some highlighting when you're choosing things so you can see what you're doing when you're playing on controller. -Enemy Variety. Theres mainly just melee attacks, and ranged attacks by mobs. By the middle to end game, I was OP and thats cool, but the way of combating this is just throwing literal armies at me. -The biomes. The biomes were cool and unique, had a fresh feel to each and music to accompany but its just so empty. Landmarks are few and far between and when you do find something, it should be exciting, not static. Like Dungeons The Dungeon system. My biggest Con. Every Dungeon is the exact same except swapped with minions for the biome. You go in, you flip a switch, you open a door, you do this twice. There are traps in the dungeon that are cool, but when you realize that EVERY SINGLE DUNGEON (of 18!!!) is the exact same. the novelty wears off. Loot and meta-progression for them is fine. -The Bugs. There are......... LITTLE annoying bugs that added together almost ruined my experience. Ambient events can sometimes bug and continue going without stopping (this is unacceptable with earthquake, I literally almost suicided because of it) Sometimes You will town portal and clip into darkness (also fixed with town portal so less an issue, more an annoyance. Music sometimes stops playing, Items can suddenly disappear and no longer be there, some AOE attacks by bosses were either hitting you / missing you when the telegraph said something else. At most, these are just needing more polish, but according to the game, its on 3.0. some of these should have been seen. Above all, I enjoyed my time with the game and if the creator has any plans to add more depth to it in regards to type of enemies, or quests, or NPCS that do more then just have dialogue and look cool, I'd love to come back and play some more, but ultimately it feels like once you complete a run, that its basically done.

I like the game overall but I beat the TIer 1 difficulty on the first try. I used entirely passive skills and a bow, it seemed pretty OP. I tried a caster and wanted to go minions but Raise Zombie (even leveled it to 5) was awful. The archer seems far and away the best build and doesn't even need active abilities. I imagine buffing the key passives to level 5 and running that build would beat all content.

You get what you pay for... if it wasn't for how cheap this game is I wouldn't recommend it. Steam really needs a middle option
