I enjoyed this game, but there's several hitches potential buyers should be aware of. To start, if you like to 100% games, be aware that this one can be obnoxious to complete. There is a great guide posted for it, but there is a lot of back-and-forth to clear all achievements. This is made infinitely worse by the fact that the majority of the dialogue- probably about 70 or 80%- can't be skipped, and dialogue which can be skipped seems totally random. You will likely watch the same scenes play out multiple times over if you want this game finished completely. My second concern is the quantity/quality of the story. Without spoiling anything, it doesn't go...anywhere. It's a good enough story in terms of making social commentary, but as soon as you think it's about to get properly interesting, the game ends. You're warned early on that your actions, or inaction, will have consequences, but it never really feels that way. It's not exactly a 'bad' story, but it basically cuckolds itself at any point that it could become much better than it is. Lastly, the game is short and fairly unexciting. It plays well, engaging enough mechanics, good voice acting, but it is a remaaaarkably short game. Maybe 3-4 hours if you're not trying to 100% it. As well, there's an abundance of NPCs you never see or meet, and the hotel you work at is totally dead. There's no risk at all that the inhabitants of the rooms will catch you, which I feel would have injected much more energy and tension into the game. The game is so short I'd really recommend only grabbing it on sale. Ultimately, I consider this game to be decent. By no means bad, but not one I was chomping at the bit over, either. I'd like to see the devs make another, similar game, learning from the feedback of the reviews (which largely echo the same concerns). Buy it on sale and play when you want a low-stakes puzzle game with a relatively interesting story.

This is a good game, but it is quite short and has pretty much no replayability. Therefore, I would advise you to buy it when it's on sale. The story is interesting and I enjoyed playing the game. However, achievement hunters be warned, there is a lot of unskippable dialogue/cutscenes that make achievement hunting extremely painful. I played through the game the first time without looking at guides once, and that took me around 3.5 hours, then I went back with a guide to finish the achievements that I had missed and that more than doubled my play time, so that was sort of inconvenient. Either way, I had a good time, but it was a short time.

This isn't an investigation game about finding the right suspect and getting a sense of accomplishment out of it. If you want a game like this, don't waste your time with This Bed We Made. This game is about the objects that tell stories. You can shape the whole development of the game by keeping or hiding items. And the process of finding out clues about the guests of the hotel is really satisfying. I wasn't expecting the game to be like this, but to me it was a really nice surprise.

One of the best "choices matter" games I've played in years. Very evocative. The complaints I mainly see are about how you can't respond in ways people would like to, in conversation. But keep in mind: this is not a character customization game. We are walking in to an already-established personality, and our conversation options are limited (in tone) based on this. We still have a great deal of freedom of plot.
