9/10 BUT as a completionist right i think devs should be forced to 100% their games' achievements before uploading them. aint NO WAY ANY of them devs 100%ed this and enjoyed the experience. Til beating the game the game is fine, really. FOR 100% THO?! terribly boring experience, i'm sorry.

Nice fun and simple game. It says Unsupported on SteamDeck but all my 8 hours so far have been on that.

I'm drawn to games that blend active and idle mechanics. There's something satisfying about being able to engage when you want to, then sit back and let things run when you need a break. Trainatic initially seemed like it would deliver exactly that experience. The game opens strong. Building your train is genuinely enjoyable, with each car type offering distinct functionality that makes you consider how to optimize your setup. The puzzle of arranging cars for maximum efficiency kept me engaged. Unfortunately, Trainatic stumbles as the idle gameplay arrives far too late in the experience. I found myself actively controlling the train for nearly the entire playthrough. When you're expecting to occasionally zone out and let automation take over, being stuck at the controls becomes tedious rather than engaging. The game's design issues compound as you progress. Several train cars feel completely pointless, offering no meaningful advantage over basic turret. More frustratingly, the final worlds stretch the experience well beyond its welcome. The game becomes a slog through repetitive content that's essentially the same level structure with different visual themes. Trainatic's biggest missed opportunity lies in its failure to lean into what makes hybrid active-idle games work. The early hours show real promise, the train-building mechanics are solid. But instead of building on these strengths the game introduces nothing new. I finished Trainatic feeling conflicted. There's a genuinely fun game buried in here, especially in those first few hours when everything clicks. But the tedious endgame and underutilized idle mechanics prevent it from reaching its potential. With better pacing and more meaningful automation, this could have been something special. Please try the demo first.

Fun little game with good aesthetic, falls a little flat towards the end but overall a good time sink for ~ 5 hours.

Some of these reviews are way too harsh, lol. You're a train, you blow stuff up, numbers go up. Start as a tiny little guy struggling to shoot down one tree and end as a murder machine obliterating the entire asteroid belt. Seriously, don't overthink it.
