Pretty good game. You may call it a Metroidvania, but it has Megaman vibes and likens most to Hollow Knight. There's lots to do and find that will and won't upgrade Turbo Kid, and some hidden places that require obscure tricks to reach. Protip: If you find a wall that reacts to being struck but won't break, use the map markers to mark it off so you can return when you get the wall breaking upgrade. I most certainly did not remember every spot in the game like it, even if lots of those places are merely ++money.
So you are telling me they made a game about that obscure 2015 underrated movie "Turbo Kid"? Kickass! This gotta be one of the most interesting metroidvanias out there for sure. The music, the gameplay, the aesthetic and the story. Too bad we are never getting a sequel for the film apparently, that would've been awesome, but hey maybe we can get another game? Maybe yes? 4.5/5
