A Metroidvania that answers the question "what if Samus was an '80s post-apocalypse hero with a BMX bike instead of a spaceship?". Good graphics, good plot, good gameplay, good for America. In fact, it wasn't until later that I realized it was based on a movie. I thought "woah, that explains the number of film companies that show when you start the game". That makes this game even rarer: an actually *good* movie tie in game!

One of the best metroidvanias I've played. The controls are tight, the upgrades are satisfying and the map gives you multiple paths to explore. I was a bit sceptical about the bike at first, but it is actually a really fantastic upgrade. You can turn it on and off at the push of a button and it functions in the same way as any other upgrades. And while the world is designed with the bike in mind, it is still fun to explore without the bike (I had feared that there would be long stretches of nothing to encourage the use of the bike but this was not the case). One more thing that I really appreciated about this game was that the enemies don’t respawn until you die. It’s a very little thing but this is a game changer when it comes to exploration. I felt free to stray off track, knowing that when I returned to what I was doing, the enemies I had killed would still be dead when I got back. I can’t think of a single criticism honestly. It’s very tightly designed, leaving very little room for improvement. Highly recommended.

Why this game isn't exploding with popularity in the metroidvania genre is beyond me. Top 10.

I waited a while for this gem to come out. And my patience was not in vain... Metroidvania is easily my favorite genre. And I can tell you, with great confidence, that this belongs on the shelf with the other modern greats: Hollow Knight, Ori, Narita Boy... It plays like a great blend of Mega Man and Metroid, with plenty of nooks and crannies to discover (with lots of 80s/90s easter eggs). Lots of charging-blasting-slicing action against a pretty decent roster of baddies. The bike mechanics were fun for a 2-D platformer. And the story and dialogue are good fun- not to be taken as a canon sequel (unless the creators said otherwise). This was well worth the wait. Any Metroidvania fan would agree that this is a solid title worthy of praise. Not to mention the OST is done by Le Matos again! If you loved the movie, then you're probably already a child of retro-chic, and will love this cyberpunk, old school romp. This is a 16-bit modern wonder to behold that will make you feel like a kid again

A one of a kind game experience on the epic story of TURBO KID traversing through the wasteland finding what the rest of the wasteland looks like and becoming THE ULTIMATE TURBO KID HERO. This story is more of a continuation from the incredible movie so its amazing to feel the heart and soul that was put into this game, the art and the story. I loved my playthrough and enjoyed every bit of this as I already love the Turbo Kid movie, its my favorite. ONCE YOU ACTIVATE THE KID THE TURBO CHARGE BECOMES ULTIMATE AND FROM THERE THE TURBO IN THE KID WILL FUEL HIM TO KICK ASS! Rating 100/10. xD Loved the amazing art style in this and just everything about this game including the music! nothing like listening to some epic retrowave while blasting through some raiders am i right?! >:D
