It's a great concept and it takes a lot of keystrokes to make progress which is something I prefer. The only problem I have with it is that it takes up too much screen space. I wish there was a minimal mode that just showed the keys and nothing else. Things like the barn and seed market are important for progression but I don't need to see them all the time. So it would be great to have an option to have the extra elements toggle on and off or fade away when the game is not in focus.
It's a fun little companion game to have while you're banging on the keyboard at work. It's easy to take a brief break and come up for air, click into the game, sell crops, get new little guys to come hang out on screen, and then dive back in for another typing session. I'm almost out of game to play, based on what I can see, so I hope for more updates in the future to keep my farm growing.
A very cute little idle game, where you can even get decorations to customize the look of the farm and with lots of different seeds to purchase and grow. I really love running it in the background, though I noticed some kind of stuttering while playing another game at the same time (it doesnt happen with every game i played yet, just one game), but its not a deal breaker for me. No regrets in getting Typing Farmer.
More people need to play this its absolutely adorable! There are a lot of settings to curate the game to exactly what you want, and has the perfect amount of idle-ness to keep you not super distracted but.. mildly distracted. The animals are so cute and there are so many decor options to unlock! Cons: some of the menus are a little janky and hard to understand. Finished? Nope Steam Achievements? A really cute and great idle game that also has a lot of tools to help get things done! This really accomplishes the balance between being a fun game without being distracting when actually trying to get tasks done. The only thing I think could be improved are maybe some of the grammar mistakes, but that is such a minor detail that I don't think it should turn anyone away at all. Some other people have mentioned lag between input and the game, but I didn't experience that at all and the game has been running great and visually easily understood. There are definitely some things that aren't explained in the tutorial but I managed to figure them all out by myself. As for problems with keyboard layout, if you have a standard qwerty keyboard, you will be just fine. I'd love to see more of this game and more games like it!
