Why you should or should not play Vending Machine Co. Before You Read Every review on my profile is based on my own personal experience with a game. My opinions aren't facts, and you're not expected to agree with them—and that's perfectly okay. My goal isn't to tell you whether you should like a game. Instead, I try to explain what worked for me, what didn't, and who I think the game might appeal to. Constructive discussion is always welcome, but please remember there's a real person behind these reviews. Respectful disagreements are encouraged; insults, hostility, or personal attacks are not. What is Vending Machine Co.? In this game you own/rent vending machines in different neighborhoods in Japan! Quick Pros ✔ High replay ability ✔ Lots of content to explore ✔ Long playtime potential ✔ Interesting story ✔ Memorable characters ✔ Strong visual style ✔ Detailed world design ✔ Smooth animations ✔ Creative art direction Quick Cons ✘ Limited game play variety ✘ Repetitive Soundtrack Initial Thoughts: -"I love how I can change the colour of my vending machines and they all have such cute designs!" -"I wonder if there is an easier way to stock my vending machines, I only have four and its becoming a hassle already!" -"I have a damn rival in this game? Are we serious? Why is she so angry? Why does she look like a librarian? I WILL BUY YOU OUT GIRL!" Beginner Player Friendly? I would argue that this game is very beginner players friendly. The game developer(s) made a very in depth tutorial that describes all the ins and outs of what to expect in this game. There is also short cut key binds, which can be found in your journal that is located in your backpack! Game Play: In this game your goal is to be the best vending machine owner in town. But don't get to confident because your rivals can out buy you and competition could take you down- so make sure you get to the top first! Buy or Rent your vending machines and upgrade them to hold more items, repair themselves, clean themselves and more! You also need to stock your vending machines somehow, a local store assists with this and you can buy a large variety of items that you pick or that are most popular in the area! Graphics: This graphics in this game are absolutely adorable. They seem hand drawn and remind me of a children's cartoon that we would find somewhere in Japan. The game runs smoothly and seems like it could run on lower end systems. The character design is very cute, and each character has a very obvious personality linked to them. The environments are intractable and full of different life depending on where your vending machine is. Community: This game is a solo game, however, the community here is filled with many different styles of cozy gamers. They have all been friendly and everyone seems like they would give a helping hand if you needed it. How long can you play? I so far have around an hour in this game and have yet to unlock even a quarter of the entire map. I believe this game has quite a bit of play time potential and I can see myself playing until I have anything and everything I could possibly get. I would argue for logistics sake however that it would probably take me around 6 hours to complete the basic story of this game. My Opinion: In my opinion this cozy game is a fun and relaxing thing to play when you need some time to relax your mind. I think you should give this game a try if you are looking for some fun and relaxing vending machine game play. Overall Review ★ 8/10 - A cozy game where vending machine owners can also have rivals. ✘ Active Online Multiplayer (meaning people will interact with you in game) ✔ Family Friendly (meaning friendly to all ages) ✔ Solo Play ability (meaning you can play by yourself if preferred) ✘ Cross Compatibility (meaning you can play with friends through other consoles.) ✘ In-App Purchases (meaning you can buy things after buying the game i.e DLC's) ✘ Controller Compatible (meaning you can play this game with a controller) Enjoyed this review? Ok first of all, sorry for this very long review. I tried to keep it short, but apparently I had 253 in-game days worth of emotions to process haha. Enjoy!😭 When it first came out, I totally didnt understand the mixed reactions. I kept asking my friends what they thought, and the opinions were ALL over the place XD from “this is overwhelming” to “this is weirdly addictive,” to “not my cup of tea,” and even “their best game so far.” Meanwhile i was spending many hours in the first town, cause i wanted all the upgrades before unlocking new places. The first 12ish hours, I actually avoided the upgrade where all the money automatically goes to the bank because… I actually really loved running around collecting the coins myself LOL 💰 Tiny goblin behavior, I know. But at one point the game got a little too chaotic with all the new towns, so okayyyy, the auto-bank upgrade won. I really enjoyed my first 15-20 hours with the game. At first I was happily running around collecting coins like: “ooo look at my tiny business!!” But then reaching 22+ hours I was basically doing unpaid overtime, surviving on vending machine snacks and pure determination. After that, it slowly turned into “okay, now we achievement hunt” mode… which somehow STILL took me forever. I ended up with around 27 hours total! And I seriously expected this game to be max 15h XD Normally I would NEVER complain about a game giving me lots of playtime. (Just to be clear haha) But for Vending Machine Co .... Slowly turned me from a cute little shop/vending machine owner, into a sleep-deprived employee of the month at Vending Machine Headquarters. (I dont think this is a thing, but still) Nope. That was just toooo much. But Ulle???? why hunt for all the achievements, you ask….. yeah dont ask haha 😭 at some point it stops being about the achievements and becomes PERSONAL. The game and I were in a toxic relationship by Day 200. And do not even get me started on the partner achievements. Oh. My. God. I was missing ONE SINGLE partner achievement for the juice collab. ONE!!! Even though the game gives you 3 options AND lets you reroll two extra times, the game simply refused to give it to me. By in-game Day 121, I was officially DONE. I started skipping days, instantly sleeping, and just waiting for the partner event to appear every 10-ish days. By the end, I felt like a rusty vending machine running on pure hope and expired juice boxes. Then I finally hit Day 200 and got the 200 days achievement… BUT I STILL DID NOT HAVE THE LAST PARTNER. Days kept passing… My sanity kept fading… And then… on Day 253… IT FINALLY APPEARED. I just sat there staring at the screen like: “Wait… is this real? Am I hallucinating? Did the vending machine gods finally bless me omg???” BUT IT WAS REAL. I WAS FREEEEEE But for real? I really did love the game a lot! Even tho it was probs not what you though reading through this review haha. I just think they maybeeee pushed some of the achievements a tiny little bit too far because 200+ in-game days was starting to feel less like cozy vending machine management and more like I had accidentally dedicated my entire life to the vending machine industry.

Overview Vending Machine Co. is a managing simulator where you can buy, decorate and upgrade vending machines in cutely designed towns. It is a great game to pass time in. You can keep it relaxing or up the difficulty (I personally played on normal). Pros The game's visuals are beautiful and sweet. Cartoon towns and npcs revolved around a Japanese theme. The customisation of the vending machines, your van, and all the products you can buy to put into the machines are fairly large so you can really make it unique to your own personal taste. The music is groovy and upbeat which helps you feel engaged. There's a few different ways to interact with the game other than packing the vending machines - in mini games (such as collecting money from the machines, duck feeding, fishing, claw machine, playing cards etc), cleaning/fixing the machines, checking analytics through the tablet, upgrading the market and unlocking new areas. It's fairly easy to manage early on and there's some lovely quality of life aspects especially in the later areas when you can start upgrading your truck. Cons Like all simulators there gets a point where the game feels super repetitive and unfortunately this is how I felt. It can get fairly overwhelming once you have unlocked all the areas, having to restock your machines more frequently, it felt more like a chore than a game - as I said earlier I did play on normal and I am uncertain if it's not as bad on the easy mode. But alas, it could also be user error lol. I want to use this space to let people know that the mini games can be quite buggy ESPECIALLY the fishing game. I would click the "catch" button and it wouldn't register my mouse as clicking so I would lose a lot of fish, which was very frustrating. Overall It is a fun cute game to pass time, which is why I will recommend it. Its likely a game I will come back to!

Stock from truck. Stock from truck. Stock from truck. This game is one of the best chill experiences for my little ADHD brain. Preferences in each district change every ten days or so. Stock up on those items or just sell what you want. Advertise. Choose the look of your vending machines. Load up your truck and do laps around town restocking and slowly adding features to your machines for make more money to buy more machines and add features and make more money and The only time lkmies are optional to engage with. Don't want the clock ticking down on your rental? But the machine instead. Dont want to be stressed about selling a certain amount of a certain product? Ignore that contract- no harm, no foul. There are a few small things that I expect they'll polish in the coming weeks based on the community tab. I've been playing this game for hours while listening to an audio book. Send help.
