I thought running a graveyard would be a peaceful job. Turns out I'm burying people during the day and fighting them at night. Somehow, between digging graves, running a business and trying not to die, I'm having an absolutely great time. 10/10. The customers just won't stay dead.
I took this job to bury the dead. Nobody told me I'd have to bury them twice. During the day, I maintain the graveyard like a respectable professional. Dig graves, clean up, do my job. At night, my former customers come back to complain. So I build defenses and provide excellent customer service with extreme prejudice. Graphics are great, gameplay is fantastic, and the mechanics work incredibly well together. Managing the graveyard and preparing for zombie attacks is way more addictive than it has any right to be. 10/10 Please remain in your assigned grave.
This is a enuinely entertaining management game with a gameplay loop that gives you quite a lot to do. Between burying bodies, handling cremations, choosing urns, running the chapel, selling souvenirs, farming and arranging flowers, there is always some fresh piece of the funeral industry demanding your attention. It does become repetitive after a while, but the nightly zombie raids (which feel a little like Call of Duty 5 zombies wandered into the wrong game) help break things up, as do the expeditions. It is not endlessly deep, but it kept me busy, amused and surprisingly invested in the efficient disposal of the dead. Well worth playing.
A very well-made, true hidden gem of a simulator game that continually surprises with new things to do. It's not the deepest experience of the genre, nor one that will require +20 hours to see everything it has to offer - but it remains engaging throughout. Farming, Souvenir Shop, Body Cremation, Burial Sites, Flower Shop, Bio Lab, etc.. there's a ton of variety here, and it's just a delightful little journey that I'm glad I gave a chance. Highly recommended if you enjoy games in this genre.
This is the rare simulator game that balances the genre trappings while embracing quirks that stands apart from all the other sim clones. I enjoy the loop of having a growing list of chores that you get to automate one by one. Find yourself playing undertaker in a simple manageable but most importantly satisfying grave yard market. The zombie defense part is a cakewalk at a certain point, I recommend hard for a tough early game but once you get turrets and fences you feel more like a zombie defence master just tending to your chores. End game is yet to be seen I appreciate the extra content with the questing and travelling to new locations but I found my sensitivity dropped to 1 in these encounters and I could not fix so that’s no fun. I imagine replayability is limited but the journey so far has been more than justified at the discount I got it at, I would’ve paid full. In short, graveyard management is a lot of fun, people be buying flowers, this game has a very satisfying ramp up to automation.
