So Nyaruru fishy fight is...one of those annoying kinds of games because it's great, really good even but I am very limited in aspects of what I can actually tell people, what I can say is it's a very fun game with a lot of difficult boss battles, unique enemies and designs, as well as some interesting areas and mechanics within those areas as well as a bunch of unique ways to travel in general and with some stellar music on top you're in for a heck of a ride, one you may fall in love with or hate depending on the kind of story you like but that's as much as I'm willing to say dood. Okay full review time! So the Story follows a young lady with cat ears named Nyaruru and for her that's normal! For everyone else it's not!! Everyone has cat ears suddenly and so begins your adventure in this cute world filled with cute cat girls and weird monsters some of which look terrifying for such a cute looking game but is there more to this story than you realise? I can't say but I sure as heck enjoyed it dood! The gameplay is interesting, you start off with a basic three hit combo, a dash and an up and down attack, as time goes on you get things to increase your ways to combat things but a lot of these moves also allow you to traverse better or find secrets too, it is a metroidvania after all and there are plenty of items to find, money to get too to buy some crazy accessories dood. Talking about accessories, they did a rather unique thing in this game in which you kind of really need some to progress or do some extremely tricky secrets, you buy them at the store along with healing items and some upgrade items too dood! Talking about upgrades each skill and super move (of which four are available, three bought at the store) can be levelled up along with health, some get unique effects, others just upped damage, none of it ever felt quite worth it though, the only issue I have with the game really, some attacks and upgrades could have been better overall, especially seeing as it felt like enemies in each area got stronger with you each section but it never hurt it enough to feel bad by any means dood. Finally I'd like to talk about the music, I was not expecting it to have such an outstanding soundtrack, at times it even managed to be haunting, especially in some of the areas and fights you get to, whoever did the music really deserved a lot of praise and attention for such a great job dood. And that's it really, the game was a blast, I'm not attempting all the achievements despite how much I enjoyed it because they are a nightmare XD there's no NG+ unless I missed it somehow but it does have a boss rush at the end if you want to take everything on and also you unlock another difficulty, which...is crazy to me because normal was difficult enough dood! Thank you for reading! I hope if you buy the game you enjoy it a whole bunch, until possibly next time dood. ^-^7

Great game especially for its price, it has some hard platforming moments and interesting boss fights (though some can be frustrating until you figure their puzzle... while having the execution as well). You can feel that a lot of love have been poured in it. As some others said in their review, this game can feel sometimes bad but mostly amazing, but it kinda give it charm in a way. Have yet to play Nyakori's rabbit doll, but story is a sequel of it though you might still understand most of the things happening overall even without playing it. I still enjoyed it. Graphics seem inspired by Rabi-Ribi (another very cute looking and hard metroidvania). If you like cute looking metroidvania with great bossfights and some difficulty (though it can sometimes feel unfair), don't shy away from this game !

I'm about to complete this game the second time. In both plays, I chose the hardest difficulty available. For me, there are mainly two ways to enjoy the game. 1. The first one is the boss fights. These are CHALLENGING, they're not meant to be easy. You have to time your evades and land hits when you see the opportunity. I'm not much of an action game player, but I do have some experience with games like osu!, and for me some bosses would require about an hour of retries until I would be able to defeat them. And the end would always be like, both me and the boss are low life. So if you don't like such experience, this game can be frustrating. 2. The second one is exploring the maps. To be more exact, to catch all the items in the maps. Some are well hidden, some will require some kind of parkour. And it is definitively not easy to achieve 100% without seeing a guide. I tried my best to get most items without "cheating" (seeing a guide), but to be honest at the end I was like: "OMG how am I supposed to get there??" and after half an hour without progress I would look for hints. And when you do find a way to get the item, it's like, mind blowing. It feels good. As a bonus, the BGM is also nice. Good enough for you to buy it and put in the playlist you hear while working (I do that). That's it for the amazing stuff. For things that could be improved: 1. The game store: At the beginning it is awesome. There are a lot of nice stuff available, you're poor, need money, and try optimize what to buy first to help progressing the game. But at late game, you have so much money that it doesn't matter anymore. I would straight buy everything. This could be improved by adding new items as the story advances or making stronger items more expensive. 2. The story itself: Not bad really, but not mind blowing. Overall it is a nice game that I recommend.

I Love this game! Movement at the start feels bad but that's because you will unlock more movements as you progress and explore! I played it on Hard Mode so this is my Hard Mode Perspective. The Game is easy until you enter a boss battle, some bosses took me over 3h to beat but it feels sooo satisfiyng when you beat them. There are some puzzles, they are good but not too special. I love the characters, especially Lily, I would pat her, even if she is drunk and tries to bonk me with her frying pan. I do not like the standard controls/keybinds so you might change them in the settings.
