Wife Quest is a charming retro-style action platformer developed and published by Pippin Games that embraces the spirit of classic 16-bit adventures while adding its own playful personality. The story follows Mia, a fearless former warrior whose peaceful married life is interrupted when her husband, Fernando, is kidnapped by the seductive Dark Elf Morganna and her army of Monster Girls. Rather than presenting a dramatic fantasy epic, the game approaches its premise with exaggerated humor, witty dialogue, and an intentionally over-the-top narrative that never takes itself too seriously. This lighthearted tone gives the adventure a unique identity and keeps the journey entertaining from start to finish. The visual presentation is one of the game's strongest qualities. Every level is filled with vibrant pixel art, detailed backgrounds, and expressive character animations that successfully recreate the nostalgic charm of classic console platformers. The environments are varied enough to maintain a fresh sense of adventure, taking players through forests, caves, volcanic landscapes, and other fantasy-inspired locations. Enemy designs are equally memorable, especially the diverse cast of Monster Girls who each possess distinctive appearances and personalities. The energetic soundtrack complements the colorful visuals with upbeat music that captures the excitement of exploration and the intensity of boss encounters without becoming repetitive. Gameplay revolves around responsive side-scrolling action that combines platforming, melee combat, and gradual character progression. Mia begins her quest with a straightforward set of abilities, but defeating bosses unlocks new powers that expand both combat options and traversal mechanics. This steady progression gives each new stage a rewarding sense of advancement while encouraging players to master increasingly demanding platforming sequences. The controls remain smooth and precise throughout the adventure, making jumps, dodges, and attacks feel reliable even during challenging sections that require quick reflexes and careful timing. Combat is simple to understand but satisfying to master. Players face a wide assortment of fantasy enemies that require different strategies instead of relying on identical attack patterns. Boss fights stand out as the most memorable moments of the campaign thanks to their creative mechanics, unique personalities, and well-designed attack sequences that reward observation rather than button mashing. Equipment upgrades available through the in-game shop provide additional customization by strengthening Mia's abilities and making progression feel meaningful. Although the RPG elements remain fairly lightweight, they add enough depth to keep the gameplay engaging without slowing down the fast-paced action. The game also offers worthwhile incentives for players who enjoy completing every challenge. Finishing the main story unlocks bonus content such as artwork, music, additional game modes, character skins, mini-games, achievements, and special finishing moves. These extras provide additional replay value beyond the initial campaign and encourage players to revisit earlier stages or pursue full completion. While the overall adventure is relatively short compared to larger platforming titles, the unlockable content helps extend its longevity for dedicated fans. Its humor and presentation will naturally appeal more to certain audiences than others. Wife Quest openly embraces anime-inspired comedy, playful fan service, and exaggerated character interactions that are intended to be amusing rather than serious. The suggestive themes remain lighthearted and stylized, fitting comfortably within the game's cartoon fantasy setting. Players looking for a humorous adventure with colorful characters will likely appreciate its personality, while those expecting a deeper or more emotionally driven narrative may find the story somewhat simplistic. Despite its many strengths, Wife Quest does have a few shortcomings. The campaign can be completed fairly quickly, and some mechanics remain familiar throughout the experience without introducing major surprises in the later stages. Exploration is relatively linear, and players seeking extensive customization or complex combat systems may find the gameplay somewhat straightforward. Nevertheless, these limitations are balanced by polished execution, enjoyable pacing, and an obvious passion for classic platform game design. Wife Quest succeeds by focusing on delivering an entertaining retro platforming experience instead of trying to reinvent the genre. Its attractive pixel art, responsive controls, enjoyable boss battles, rewarding progression system, and humorous storytelling come together to create a consistently fun adventure that respects the classics while adding its own distinctive style. Fans of old-school action platformers, especially those who appreciate lighthearted fantasy settings and polished indie games, will find plenty to enjoy throughout Mia's quest. It may not be the longest or most ambitious title in its genre, but it delivers a satisfying experience packed with charm and personality. Rating: 8/10

Cute short metrovania-without-getting-lost featuring strong independent woman who has severe case of jealousy and BPD. Later levels are a bit challenging, but nothing on par of super meat boy. One thing is weird though: when you down an enemy, you have option to execute them in a very gruesome way. For bosses i get it, you get powerups that way. But even the passive enemies which dont do anything are valid targets. I guess the author had ryona fetish.

As a fan of monster girls, I have to say—I approve of this game. However, it still has a few flaws worth mentioning. First off, this isn’t a hentai game. It does have some sexual content and innuendo, but it’s pretty tame overall, so don’t expect anything explicit. You play as Mia, a human warrior who’s deeply in love with her husband, Fernando. One day, Fernando is captured by monster girls, and Mia sets out to rescue him. To save her beloved, she has to travel across different kingdoms and defeat each monster girl boss holding him hostage. It’s your classic “save the princess (or prince)” kind of story—simple, but it gets the job done. The pixel art is absolutely gorgeous and full of charm, reminding me of the good old days of retro gaming. The monster girls themselves are cute, sexy, and full of personality. You’ll meet all kinds of them—a dwarf, elf, orc, oni, fairy, salamander, unicorn, slime, and more. Each one is beautifully designed, and you can view their details in the gallery. You can even “punish” them if that’s your thing—no judgment here. The music is decent, in my opinion. Not breathtaking, but not bad either. It’s catchy enough to stick with you for a while. I personally like the shop’s theme. The gameplay is your standard platformer: you can jump and attack at first, and later unlock new abilities like blocking, dashing, and shooting arrows. The controls can feel a bit stiff, especially if you’re using a keyboard. The keybind options are also limited—you can’t even bind dash to the Shift key, which is a bit of a bummer. I’d recommend using a controller if possible, since it feels better suited for the game. Each level can take around half an hour to an hour to complete, depending on how thorough you are with collecting everything and dealing with traps or challenges. A lot of players say it’s hard, and while it can be tricky at times, I think it’s fair overall—even when playing on keyboard. Some achievements, like Ymir’s challenges, can take a while to finish, though. Overall, it’s a short but enjoyable experience. The beautiful pixel art, charming monster girls, and solid gameplay make it worth checking out, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges. Expect about five to ten hours (or more) of playtime if you’re aiming for full completion. Ymir, Sily, Morgana are best waifu change my mind
