This game is an absolute banger. You’ve got three sides — Predator, Alien, and Marine — and each one feels completely different but equally badass. Playing Predator makes you feel unstoppable: cloaking, jumping rooftops, and tearing through enemies like a true hunter. As the Alien, it’s fast, brutal, and downright terrifying — crawling on walls and shredding Marines never gets old. And the Marine campaign? Straight survival horror. That motion tracker beep will haunt your dreams. The atmosphere, sound design, and kill animations still hold up today. It’s intense, gritty, and incredibly fun once you get in the zone. Final Verdict: 9/10 — A cult classic that nails the feeling of being both predator and prey. Pure adrenaline.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that the last AVP game came out 15 years ago. I return to it from time to time, despite it not being well-received at the time of release, it's a game that has stood the test of time. A great game from an era when games were made with passion.

This is game is a such an underrated gem, so that I don't even know where to start this review. I'm millennial and I know all these movies about Aliens and Predators since my childhood. I didn't play original AvP game by Rebellion because I got my first home PC only in the early 2000s when there was already AvP 2 from Monolith Studios (F) and I still actually remember how cool that game was. I also remember how I learned about this soft-reboot to be released by the makers of the original AvP and how I was hyped about it. But then for some weird reason this game had some mixed reviews upon launch. I played it myself and coudln't understand why. I personally think that this is a very solid title and it had plenty of content for its time. All three campaigns had very different gameplay, and even that they all were played on the same levels, the atmosphere and the work with the setting were just astonishing! Not to mention that it's just super cool to be able to play for xenomorph, Yautja and colonial marine within a single game! And so, just like in AvP 2 we were witnessing a single story from different perspectives and we had to play all three campaigns to completely understand its plot. The game was also inspired by Alien vs Predator 2004 movie and it basically can be counted its proper sequel instead of that terrible thing that we got. Here I would like to also note that when talking about Alien movies, Predator movies and Aliens vs Predator movies, I ignore some of them and to me they are not canon because of personal preferences (I like Alien, Aliens, Predator, Predator 2, Alien vs Predator, Predators, Prey, Alien: Romulus and Predator: Killer of Killers without extended ending. I will decide what I think of Alien: Earth and Predator: Badlands once I watch them. I also count Aliens and Predator franchises as one single universe). So, I ignore AvPR, for example, but I like the 2004 movie and I do not understand all the critics around it. I do think that Paul Anderson actually did pretty good job trying to mix two different kind of horrors from both Alien and Predator series in that film. And so, this game has ancient pyramid build by Yautja just like in the film, the Weyland-Yutani Corparation and their awful actions to control xenomorphs, and, of course, colonial marines and predators who come to clean all the mess. There is also famous Lance Henriksen himself who plays director of Weyland-Yutani (there is an explanation on who Karl Bishop Weyland is and why he looks so much like Charles Bishop Weyland from AvP 2004. The events of 2004 in Bouvetøya, Antarctica, also directly mentioned). In conclusion I want to say that I still have hope to see a new Aliens vs Predator game in the future because we now are witnessing a true rebirth of Alien and Predator franchises thanks to "Alien: Romulus", "Alien: Earth", "Prey", "Predator: Killer of Killers" and "Predator: Badlands". So, there might be also a possible chance that new AvP movie and new AvP game will be made as well. But it's very sad to me personally that this game ended on a cliff-hanger. Rebellion Developments were planning something very special for is sequel and it could have bring plenty of new things into canon (can't mention it here as it would be kind of spoiler) but unfortunately we were not able to see it...
