Crysis 2 is an enjoyable experience and an improvement upon its prequel in many ways too. I enjoyed the high stakes scenario which of course I cannot mention in my review otherwise it will spoil the whole game so lets just say when it comes to the story I am satisfied with how things progress and end. As for everything else lets just make it quick 1. Soundtracks are certified bangers 2. The weapons you get to play with are better than the prequel's 3. Graphically appealing 4. Nano suit can be upgraded this time allowing you to cater it to your own playstyle The issues 1. The gameplay feels stiff sometimes like I keep pressing buttons to switch weapons and it either doesn't even respond or takes a lot of time to process, as someone who plays high intensity fast paced video games like Doom this irks me a lot. 2. Some weapons are basically pea shooters, so damn useless (But only some of them). 3. Its no longer open ended like its prequel this time around its much more linear, not something that can be considered an issue but really felt weird to go from Crysis 1's open world to this. 4. While I do like the new nano suit I hate how it combined speed and strength modes into automated actions this suit has a severely cut down list of options compared to it's predecessor. So yeah that's basically all there is to it, now when it comes to the question of recommendation then I say go for it, it has it's issues but its still a fun and memorable experience nonetheless. 6.5/10

A Crytek trocou o sandbox tropical por um ambiente urbano vertical, e o resultado é surpreendentemente coeso: os prédios destruídos, as ruas invadidas pelos Ceph e a verticalidade do cenário dão um novo propósito pro Nanosuit, que agora tem uma versão mais integrada e fluida de trocar entre os modos. É uma sequência que pega o que funcionava e expande de um jeito inteligente, sem perder a identidade da franquia. Crysis 2 changed the setting, moving from the open island to a New York in ruins, and managed to maintain the quality that made the first game a benchmark. Crytek swapped the tropical sandbox for a vertical urban environment, and the result is surprisingly cohesive: the destroyed buildings, the streets overrun by the Ceph, and the verticality of the setting give new purpose to the Nanosuit, which now has a more integrated and fluid way of switching between modes. It's a sequel that takes what worked and expands on it intelligently, without losing the franchise's identity. Jogabilidade | Gameplay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ O Nanosuit 2.0 é ainda melhor que o original. A troca entre Blindagem e Camuflagem agora é instantânea e contextual, o que muda completamente o ritmo do combate, permitindo transições rápidas entre stealth e confronto direto sem quebrar o fluxo da ação. A verticalidade de Nova York também dá novas opções táticas: subir em prédios, usar becos como rota de flanqueio, ou simplesmente ficar no alto observando os inimigos antes de decidir como agir. É um dos combates mais versáteis que já joguei em um FPS. The Nanosuit 2.0 is even better than the original. Switching between Armor and Cloak is now instant and contextual, which completely changes the pace of combat, allowing quick transitions between stealth and direct confrontation without breaking the flow of the action. New York's verticality also opens up new tactical options: climbing buildings, using alleys as flanking routes, or simply staying up high to observe enemies before deciding how to act. It's one of the most versatile combat systems I've ever played in an FPS. Duração | Duration ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A duração é muito bem calibrada. Nunca chega a cansar, e o jogo sabe exatamente quando introduzir uma nova ameaça ou mecânica pra manter o interesse do início ao fim. The length is very well calibrated. The campaign maintains a constant pace, alternating between more open sequences in destroyed parts of the city and more linear, intense moments inside buildings and facilities. It never gets tiring, and the game knows exactly when to introduce a new threat or mechanic to keep your interest from start to finish. Enredo | Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alcatraz assumindo o Nanosuit de Prophet e tendo que lidar com as consequências disso é um gancho forte pra história. O enredo aprofunda bem a mitologia dos Ceph e da CELL, a corporação que tenta lucrar em cima do caos alienígena, e cria uma tensão constante entre confiar nos militares ou seguir o próprio instinto. É uma narrativa mais focada e mais bem construída que a do primeiro jogo, com um vilão corporativo que funciona muito bem como contraponto humano à ameaça alienígena. Alcatraz taking on Prophet's Nanosuit and having to deal with the consequences is a strong hook for the story. The plot deepens the mythology of the Ceph and CELL, the corporation trying to profit from the alien chaos, nicely, and creates constant tension between trusting the military or following your own instincts. It's a more focused and better-constructed narrative than the first game's, with a corporate villain that works really well as a human counterpoint to the alien threat. Visual ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visualmente, Crysis 2 é impressionante. The sound effects are extremely well produced, from the organic sound of the Ceph ships and creatures to the weight of every human weapon firing amid the urban chaos. The voice acting also deserves recognition, with good performances that help sell the desperation of a city under invasion.
Crysis 2 is a FPS action game. This game game now switches to aliens. The campaign is rather linear in design. The players nanosuit has been updated with new abilities. The game now takes place in NYC instead of a jungle scene. Weapons include the FY71 Assault Rifle and M18 Smoke Grenade. Some bugs in the game remain unfixed. This game is also available on the Xbox 360. I played this on my Dell XPS 9570 with GTX 1050 Ti Max Q graphics.
