Oct. 2025
Andrew, your game is phenomenal. I should have left my review the April after it was released (I waited and followed on Steam for two years, I was so sure this game would be everything I ever imagined and more—it was). I had a bunch of pretty words to describe my experience in the days after playing. But, today, I just want you to know that you created a masterpiece... based on a brilliant concept, and it's ok if you don't do anything more with it and if you don't come out with a chapter 2. I still think about this game most days. It feels like a heartbreakingly beautiful lived experience that comes directly from my dreams and my memories. The anticipation and the shadowy figure was something from my own nightmares, it was a feeling of something bad happening hovering over the tranquil, familiar environment. A heavy subconscious feeling with so many moments of joy that distracted from its presence. It was so real. I spent 11 hours in-game and I could have spent more. The ticket collecting was such a nice, subtle touch; I saw a lot of negative comments about those in the early days but I thought it was delightful and magnificent—everything ties in together, no extra words or instructions are needed because we are all following a path. I am going to play again soon, my soul demands it. I am wishing you and your family and loved ones well. I hope you are thriving and doing good. This game really did provide such a comfort to me, it inspired me and it changed my life for the better. Thank you. ~ms. pickles

How I like my backrooms games, they're supposed to be liminal spaces and make you feel uneasy, not be chased by some monster. 10/10 game please come out with more chapters

Sort of becomes a backrooms game with some non-euclidean spaces and a subtle hint at something much bigger than it became. It relies a lot on spaces repeating themselves in impossible ways or misleading you in order to prolong playtime. What could have been touched upon was the fact that this game was intended to be a Chapter 1, but there will never be a Chapter 2. Go and explore, I guess. That's pretty much all you can do.

This game was cheesy and I loved it. Played it two times. Once to wander around and a second time to see how fast I could do it. Amazing 90's liminal vibes. I'm sad there won't be any dlc's or a second game like orginally planned.
