A solid classic horror RPG. It's not really scary, but I still had a lot of fun with it. I really liked the aesthetics and the whole vibe of the game. It also had some pretty good puzzles and I loved the little jumpscare when you opened your inventory. That was actually pretty unique and caught me off guard. The story is pretty simple, it's nothing too special and mostly just the typical horror cliche. I did really like the purple Aooni though, especially towards the end when he started changing forms.
Another game i first watched through youtube from a couple different youtubers when i was younger. i decided to play it myself, see what's what. I honestly didn't think i'd get tense playing it, knowing where all of the scripted oni appearances were, but damn i was wrong, the little song that plays when you get chased got my crisped against my steam deck. the game itself is very short, so short in fact that in the remake they added a speedrun mode, with rankings and all. The Ai story line is alright, a bit creepy.
Bought this game a while ago, never played it, finally decided to play it again after watching Markiplier play the game, and finally beat it. It isn't that scary, but I did get jump scared every time the oni appeared. The puzzles were good, but the dialogue seemed kind of crappy. Still a good game though!
