I am unsure of why the game has such mixed reviews, Ive gone through most of them but all of the problems listed, I have yet to run into. Not to say they didnt exist but I think theyve long been patched out of this tittle. Anyways, that being said, time for my impressions. It definetly has a bit of jank in movement through any partcore areas and in combat. But very minimal to nearly unoticeable. As for one of my biggest pros for this game, it is a huge living open world with some POIs currently in the areas Ive searched, and lots of challenging foes and lootables. Combat is actually one of my favorite points of this tittle. You have a wide range of choices, including 3 types of firearms, many different elements of magic and staves, swords, shields, blunt weapons, and polearms. So you can basically flush out whatever kind of character you want. Givin enough time you can master and utilize all of those weapon types. The building is well flushed out already with in depth crafting of equipment and building bases. You can create entire structures, camps, farms, and better crafting facilities. It is a system that keeps me coming for more and its been highly enjoyable. Additionally you have a second bag for building resources so they dont bog down your regular items bag, which is a nice touch. As for the main quest, it seems somewhat interesting, and there have been a few side quests so far but I feel that the game could use a few more quests and I wish NPCs were a lil more engaging. I think having voice actors to fill there dialog, and also a lil bit more ambient noise like background dialog at the garrisson would also help make everything feel a lil bit more alive. But I guess thats all I have to say about this tittle so far. I think its a great tittle which has givin me a lot of fun and I hope the devs keep at it to full release. Its already shaping up to be a real gem.

The Bottom Line: Very early access but with lots of potential. Designed for people who like more complex games. The Details: Very early access. On Dec 9, 2025 after 30 hours of game play I have run out of things to do other than 1) increase skills 2) build base 3) gather resources. I enjoyed those 30 hours and am looking forward to more updates (so far they have been pretty regular). Most of the bugs were annoying or amusing type of bugs. However when it came to faction management I encounter a few game breaking bugs that stopped my progress. However in 1 week of owning this game I have received two bug fix updates. So the developers are actively fixing the game. Some things I like: 1. The game is very complex. The tutorial does an okay job, but the first few hours were basically learning all the different tabs and keeping track of the different progressions. 2. The UI is busy, but not difficult to navigate. It allows you to manage the complexity effectively. 3. In spite of some graphical bugs, I really like the graphics. Especially when it snowed. 4. The vast NPC farmlands that cover about 30-40% of the current playable area. 5. A good variety of activities. Farming, ranching, mining, woodcutting, alchemy, crafting, magic, adventuring, exploring, quests, etc. Some things that could be improved. 1. Bugs need to be fixed. 2. In 30 hours I went from struggling to defeat rats, to becoming virtually immortal when fighting most enemies. I think the main problem is that there aren't any high level enemies. There is no late game at this point in development. 3. You don't have access to the entire world in early access. It didn't take me long to get to the "This section is still development" message when exploring. The current playable area is not small though. Maybe slightly smaller than Skyrim's map. The issue is that there are empty spaces, and NPC farmlands taking up a big chunk of the map. So unless you like horse riding or farming a lot it means that not much of the current map is built for adventuring. I haven't explored everywhere, but I think in 30 hours I was able to complete 80% of the dungeons on the map.

GRAPHIC HELP: for anyone who has graphical issues on an NVIDIA pc over 4 years old, right click desktop, click nvdia control panel > configure surround/physx > choose gpu instead of auto, this will help alot. also turn clouds to low as possible in game settings) unedited: 2 FIRSTLY's: I don't usually buy games with a low review, but thankfully this game had a random person streaming, and after watching it, I wanted to play it. This is the first mid rated game I've bought and I will say PLEASE ignore a lot of the score, i think I was lucky to see a streamer. What I noticed were that all the negative reviews originally, were spam and seemed unfair(i would say the game deserves a 77% vote currently.) ABOUT THE GAME: THE GOOD: It has jank, sure, but it has the good bones and is fun to play, its multiplayer which seems to work from what i've watched(not self tested). the quests make sense, so much so that for a survival game, its really refreshing to still feel like you have a progression of things, such as what to build and why, which a lot in the genre dont. Then we have the survival side, which isnt over bearing, you eat for buffs/heals, thats it and theyre not so game breaking that its noticeable. I've had fun exploring and going in dungeons and just slowly progressing and doing noticeboard quests. if you can afford it, especially with friends, do it, dive in. menus and systems, if you hover over things, they give you details, in graphics menus as well, which is great for people who dont know what each thing does, but the same is for skills and items etc. The crafting system is great and intuitive enough to make sense, i just wish you were given a plot to build near as well as anywhere else, just to give direction to your characters path. The fact you can play solo, solo-squad, or with friends is amazing. THE BAD: lets get it out of the way, the price point, in AUD, for me, im poor and its too much, i bought it because i knew it would give me at least a weeks of enjoyment, so at that, its not too bad and It means i just buy a few less coffees. if it was 25% cheaper, i would be happy to buy it. However in 3-6 months of updates, I would say the current price point would be worth it. I feel maybe start low and then ever 3 months of work slowly increase to match quality. the bad jank, going into a building but unable to leave because the in/out was only on one side. - this one was fixed just by resetting the game, must have either been bad build or was fixed when i played again. mobs randomly spawning at you to start combat (i watched a rat drop from the sky), i'd rather larger mob pools, rather than random combats. similar to building, i had a quest that hadnt populated in the world, on resetting game, encampment was fixed and i finished quest, just annoying, but its EA and i expect things like this at launch ALL IN ALL: Buy it if you can, i recommend the game and i'm having fun, would be better with friends. if you cant afford like me but want at least 15-30+ hours (depends on your play style and wanting to craft etc, then buy it, have fun and help shape the progress by giving feedback if you cant afford it at all though, wait until you can, dont risk it and then please come back in 6ish months after its got more content, because i imagine the game being even better by then.

I’ve sailed the Seven Seas, but this time I had to support the devs. The game is definitely rough around the edges and still a long way from a true 1.0 release, yet it shows a ton of potential. Open-world survival-craft is my favorite genre, and I’ve been waiting forever for a fantasy game that actually gets it right. From the crafting recipes to the partially implemented systems, you can see the foundation of something great. If development stays on track, I can absolutely see this game taking off and finally scratching that itch I’ve had for years. I believe some of the features needed in the long run are as follows: -Extensive NPC dialogue/relationships -Smoother/reworked animations and/or engine upgrade -Extensive magic system (already in the works) -Companions/Followers. The current party system allows you to bring characters with you, but one character is on the field at a time (this will be your player character most of the time). If you "die," you get to play as one of your followers, but that doesn't really scratch the "living world/social" itch. -Gear rarity/affixes (gimme some MMORPG grind) -Modding support

I have had this on my wishlist for almost 2 years. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. The pure amount of custom options is amazing. FULL KEYNBINDS, distance at which you harvest, etc etc etc...SO APPRECIATED. Exploration is amazing, combat feels really good with each weapons type having its own skill tree with special abilities. Dodge, slide, stealth. Just buy the game. Beyond worth the 20.00 early access price tag.
