Assassin's Creed 1 is good. If you are wanting to play it like me to get that taste of early state of Assassins Creed then i recommend you wait for a sale because its simply not worth full price. Also stay aware that the games images have been altered to look more saturated in color, it does not look like the images when you play but you can mod it to be as such if you desire; still worth getting either way. Expect to get about 10 hours of gameplay from just completing the main story (there are no real side quests) however to 100% your save or playthough, expect around 15 hours of gameplay. this game off rip has issues and i will list the main two i had issues with. 1. The game tries to constantly connect to old/no longer existing Ubisoft servers which cause frequent freezing. i fixed this with a easy mod from nexus mods that stops this from happening. https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreed/mods/81 2. i reccomend using with a controller however your controller wont be detected properly meaning you cannot use your joystick to look around and many buttons wont match the input the game is telling you to push. to fix this i used another mod from nexus and it works with my playstation 5 controller. https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreed/mods/55 IMPORTANT. do not download these mods with vortex as they wont work, instead follow the on-page instructions that the mod page description provides. My personal experience with this game has been extremely enjoyable and intriguing. Given the old nature of this game i was more drawn in by how primitive their parkour system was and it helped me understand how they expanded on it in later games. The parkour is fairly slower to the point where you can really pay attention to how the animations connect to the terrain and buildings. Another thing i really enjoyed was just the story and how you go about it. MILD SPOILER: you are tasked with killing 9 leaders or peoples in command and each one requires you to do mini side missions which upon completion will grant you information on your target of which you will need to remember if you want the information advantage against the target. this happens for all targets and is fairly immersive for what it is. the story is well written with a nice twist that i wont spoil but that is it for my review. i never played this game during its prime but that makes my positive review all the more reliable when i say its worth getting. "May peace and safety be upon you"

Amazing game, but make sure to turn off your internet, limit you fps to 60, and make sure V-Sync is on, otherwise the game will freeze every minute or so and you will die when performing a leap of faith, and you might encounter other bugs I am unaware of, but if you did the things I said the game will run great.

BEFORE PLAY, GET THIS MOD ASAP: ( https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreed/mods/81 )it makes it so that AC1 won't try to ping a dead ubisoft server and stops the random freezing, Really good game (Minus the freezing without the mod) it's overall a really good. Don't play the newer AC games before this there is no fast climbing, 8.5/10 would replay again
