July 2025
The game is definitely fun and offers a solid, immersive experience overall. However, in my opinion, it doesn't quite reach the level of depth and engagement found in the main entries of the series. The atmosphere is enjoyable, the gameplay mechanics are decent, and there's clear effort in the design — but something just feels... lighter. Great soundtrack!

The character than we are playing is an Ezio second of his name. He's young and flirtarous. We began with china, after you should play India and in the end you should end it the chronicle with Russia. If I had to say what I prefer > The story of Russia is ther best and the gameplay is awesome, For china it will be more for the graphic painting china effect so the visual and India have a gameplay between russia and China that I liked. In Russia we were to much sniper and china we weren't and did not used any snipe. I played the trilogy like that China > Russia > India but you should do China > India > Russia. So. If we talk about the story, it will be Russia > India> China. the visual, it will be China > Russia > India The gameplay, it depend about a lot of stuff. There are kind of different, not comparable.

“In the shadows of the Sikh Empire, a new Assassin’s journey unfolds.” Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: India continues the Chronicles trilogy’s unique approach, blending stealth, platforming, and stunning art design into a 2.5D side-scroller set during a turbulent period of 19th-century India. The game follows Arbaaz Mir, a skilled Assassin tasked with retrieving a stolen Sikh relic amidst political unrest and the encroaching British East India Company. The story is rich with historical tension, exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and cultural identity. Narrative is delivered through beautiful comic-style cutscenes, though the plot is more atmospheric than deeply complex, serving mainly as a backdrop for stealth missions. Chronicles: India builds on the formula established by China, focusing on precision stealth, timing, and exploration. Arbaaz uses parkour, stealth takedowns, distractions, and a few new tools like a chakram to navigate levels. Levels are designed with verticality and multiple paths, rewarding careful planning and observation. The stealth mechanics encourage avoiding detection, with a clear emphasis on patience and strategy. However, some players might find the gameplay repetitive and occasionally frustrating due to trial-and-error sections and limited checkpointing. The art direction is a highlight, featuring vibrant colors and intricate designs inspired by Indian art and architecture. The use of bold palettes and traditional motifs creates a distinct and immersive atmosphere. The soundtrack combines Indian classical music with subtle ambient sounds, enhancing the cultural setting. Voice acting is solid, though dialogue is sparse. Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: India is a stylish, atmospheric stealth-platformer that offers a fresh cultural perspective within the Assassin’s Creed universe. While it doesn’t revolutionize gameplay, its unique setting and art style make it a worthwhile experience for fans of stealth and narrative-driven platformers. It’s best enjoyed as a brief, focused adventure rather than a sprawling epic. Recommended For: Stealth-platformer fans, players interested in Indian history and culture, and those looking for a visually striking AC spin-off. Avoid If: You prefer open-world exploration or fast-paced action. Chronicles: India is a colorful, culturally rich detour — a compact stealth tale that expands the Assassin’s Creed world in fresh and vibrant ways. Rating: 6/10

📅 Date Completed: May 18, 2023 🏆 C-Tier Game TL;DR: A slight improvement over ACC China with better mission variety and a more refined experience. Stealth remains the core gameplay focus, and it introduces new mechanics that add some extra depth. My review of this is nearly identical to ACC China, because it is nearly an identical game. 🎮 Gameplay & Mechanics Very similar to ACC China but with a few more tools and mechanics that make it slightly more fun. The focus is still entirely on stealth, with brute force combat still being a near-impossible option. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, just comething to keep in mind. Some sections were frustrating, and I had to look up a guide a couple of times when stuck. The level design is solid, and there are some nice mission variety changes compared to China. 🌆 Story & Atmosphere The story is an improvement over ACC China but still isn’t a major highlight. Like ACC China, the story doesn't really matter for the overall experience. I am not even 2 years removed from completing it and I do not recall anything from the story. The gameplay though, I do remember and that is what will stick with you. 📟 Steam Deck Experience Played exclusively on Steam Deck LCD and experienced no bugs or issues. 🔄 Replayability The scoring system encourages replaying levels for higher ranks, so there is high replayability. ⚠️ Miscellaneous Achievements have been added on Steam for this game in late 2024 after being out for nearly 10 years on Steam. I completed a full playthrough of this game on a Steam Deck LCD in 2023. I no longer have the Steam Deck LCD and upgraded to the OLED in between that time. There is no Cloud Save feature for this game, so I have no progress from then. I am unable to load up the game and get achievements that I otherwise would have earned as a result. That is a me issue, but thought it was worthwhile to note here. 🏁 Final Verdict Recommendation: Yes, if you liked ACC China. This is a small step up. Price Paid: $2.99 Worth It at That Price: Yes.
