I recommend this game, with a caveat. I purchased & played this in August 2025 & although the game has been in early access (EA) since early 2021. If you've played They are Billions, Age of Darkness etc, and found those too hard, then this is a much easier game for beginners to get into. before you judge these indie developers for seemingly very limit progress in the last 4 years, it's important to note apparently this indie team (Mana Potion) is based in Ukraine (unless you live under a rock, you should know what major geo-political event has been happening there for last few years! hence I feel we can give these developers more leeway than most). POSITIVEs: this game is no where nearly as brutal as They are billions, Diplomacy is not an option, Age of Darkness etc (which I all gave up on, even on the easiest setting as a casual gamer relatively new to 'Horde/tower defence/civilization management/RTS' genre. It's got charming art style, relaxing music and pace this is probably the FIRST game in this kind of genre I can recommend for more casual beginner gamers to the tower defense/city sim/RTS genre. Now the NEGATIVEs, this game has NO campaign whatsover! At time of this review, there doesn't to seem to be any updated road map for the last few years, so no idea if this will be implemented (I really wish they communicate their plans to fans!), there is no tutorial (you need to download the free separate demo for that - and that tutorial is basic at best, I hope developers integrate the demo into main game), UI interface is basic, unit combat AI is very basic, eg after you assign group of soldiers to a group, the game will forget this & you repeatedly have to annoyingly keep re-assigning the groups. Also you can't add additional units to existing assigned groups by shift + additional unit, as per most basic RTS games and this game has been in early access since 2021. In context of ongoing geo-politics in Ukraine, and size of this indie development team - IMHO I wouldn't hold my breathe the progress on this game to reach its initial planned goal will happen any time soon. So there's pros & cons, but I 'tentatively' currently recommend this game on its potential, rather than its currently bare bone state, lack of any story campaign & currently no updated details road map (due to understandable harsh realities these developers are dealing with)

It's an enjoyable game. Some UI elements are confusing, like the troop counter. It's not glitchy or buggy so far. Some bits here and there are annoying, like every segment of wall that is at a different level to others has to have its OWN ramp up to it, not sure whether or not this is fixed later on in the game, but so far with wooden walls there is no way to have troops go from one level of wall straight to another via a ramp. They have to go down and all the way around and back up another ramp to the other wall. Very slow and annoying. Happiness is also difficult to keep up.

the game is a blast to play i enjoy it very much. biggest problem i keep having with it is unit pathing really aggravating when they do not path right on walls and towers, and when it happens you pretty much lost the map.

Honestly, a really cool game, but the developers for one reason or another, have stopped updating the game despite many bugs still being prevalent and content that was previously teased not being released. I don't know for certain, but I think this has to do with the Ukraine war since the developers were based there. I hope they are doing well and get around to working on this fun little game again.
