The game stopped working after a recent Windows 11 update, and I cannot launch it even after enabling the "DirectPlay" option. I really loved this game, and now I feel sad and disappointed that I can no longer play it. Dear Steam team: Could you please improve or fix the game so I can play one of my favorites?
I want to thank everyone who worked hard to create this game. This game shaped my entire childhood and brings back so many wonderful memories from those years. It reminds me of a time when my brother wasn't married yet 😒, and every night after work he would come home and we would play together. We had such a great time! Even today, there are days when I open the game, sit in the main menu, listen to the music, stare at the screen, and relive all those beautiful memories. The days when everything wasn't so difficult. The days when life felt more beautiful. The days when my only concern was keeping the people in my castle fed! Thank you all so much.
I remember playing this game when I was 12 years old. It was an integral part of my childhood and since I love Medieval history, I fell in love with the game. Similar to: Age of Empires Age of Mythology Pros: Addicting gameplay Online multiplayer but only if someone hosts the game (You can't play randoms and you have to share your IP address which is sus) Variety of lords to play against or with, which each have their own quirky personality Historical campaigns are there as well Cons: Can get repetitive Some of the Crusader Missions are genuinely very unbalanced and it seems like the devs were not thinking when they made the missions, as they just either places strong lords in a cramped space with you or give you piss poor resources Love this game. Highly recommend it
