😩💋 CHASING TAILS IS A VISUAL NOVEL FOR HORROR, SUSPENSE, COMEDY, AND YURI FANS! REVIEWED ON: (GeForce GT 1030/i7-3770 ) -Recently I started buying VNs, trying to enjoy the genre itself more and give them a chance just because of Waifus mostly. I was never that good or comfortable reviewing visual novels and I rarely review these types of games, so hear me out as I resume my experience in valid points of interest: ✨ This is a game that futures three genres. While the plot itself is focused on Yuri/lesbian shipping between two girls, there is also more to it than meets the eye and feels unique. Horror and Yuri is not something you see so casually nowadays, but you can all correct me if I'm wrong. Of course, I'm speaking more about videogames than Anime series here. While the context is not so brutal, edgy, rich in gore, the elements of horror are there and form part of the main plot however out of place it seems. And honestly, this is not me but I guess a lot of players might not find the balance much. This game feels like Highschool of the Dead Anime/Manga series, where it's basically a zombie apocalypse and fanservice at all times, this example applies well in Chasing Tails you might say. Fitting horni content in horror AI slop games is a generic feeling to date and fast to deal with, but when it comes to VNs maybe not everyone can digest this dish and say they enjoyed it? Who knows, but I loved it. So keep in mind, the game has it's own share of fan service and lewd moments, and well as some freaky scenes and fatal endings. If you buy it, brace yourself for an experience you might not be familiar with. ✨ The animation and personalities for all three girls is really well polished, personally my fave is June, but both Rin and Kumi are on equal terms of Mommy level and beautiful in their own way. If you want to enjoy all three Waifus and their exquisite moments, I would recommend adding the free adult DLC to your library. Base animation is already full of precious but you should all experience both sides, happy the dev decided to intensify things and free of charge. ✨ Great VN for achievement hunters possibly. Considering it's a VN, it takes but just one's own mind and capacity to remember or keep tabs on every scene, in order to unlock everything. This may take more time and patience(not even done with it all myself), if you decide to backtrack between lewd and safe scenes. Or if you're like me, that likes capping the girls and their moments. -What I really liked, is that the dev actually gives you a chance to return back in time if you get a bad ending. A lot of VNs force you to always keep saving at times during your playthrough at critical moments, or restart freshly once you failed straight from the menu screen sadly. Chasing Tails frees you from those stressing moments casually, but if you already played visual novels then you should know saving at all times on choice screens are like life or death situations! 💖 CONCLUSSION: If you are gamers into Yuri and srutal begs situations with just females, quality of unbalanced slice of life or daily IRL protagonistic moments, horror, and comedy fitting in on things no matter, then get the game. I can't promise much, but hope June or Rin make the experience enjoyable enough for you all. Kumi might be besto gurl for many perhaps, but I feel like she was an Extra here and arrived oh so late. I really love this one being my first game from Nupu Neko, and plan to get Lucy Got Problems as well as Selene DLC later to support the Wizard's magical future. Also, for those not aware Selene ~Apoptosis~ main game is free so make sure to grab it asap. All in all, this VN would be a great option for any who want to be introduced to the particular Yuri/Horror/Comedy experience, if you want to see the booty and boobas of your fave gurls, that's all by choice. And yes, it's fully uncensored and free here. Hope this review was enough to satisfy the curiosity, the script is great, the Waifus are utsukushi, amazing performance and art, and June WIFE.
7/10 This game has horror scenes, but it wasn't tagged (maybe I don't see it), so I thought it was just a chill novel game, and it actually scared me. Even with the H tag, there are very few H scenes. Overall, the game is quite short (took me about 3 hours to finish), and the characters are cute (though there are jump scares).
7/10 Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~ is a wlw visual novel revolving around a supernatural foxgirl being tied to her home. Cute and endearing with a few grammatical errors. Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~ was extremely fun and entertaining. The story follows a girl who moves into a home she thinks is haunted only to realize, and fall for, the foxgirl who stalks the home. A good amount of mystery and romance. The art style, story, and music were all very aesthetically pleasing. There’s a few choices that can change the ending of the game and the multiple endings all felt worthwhile. The characters themselves were likable and enjoyable to read and the NSFW scenes came naturally. Can be played with one hand. I didn’t encounter any bugs while playing. It took me ~2 hours to fully complete the game with all achievements and trading cards. Contained a few grammatical errors primarily due to poor translation. They weren’t enough to take away from the story but enough to be noticeable. Although the story is written well it was easily forgettable, I think this was because the story itself contained a lot of cliches within this genre of visual novels. There’s a horror tag but it wasn’t central to the story and didn’t scare me, coming from a person who gets scared easily. Pros [*] Cute art. [*] Cute music. [*] Cute story. [*] NSFW scenes feel natural. [*] Can be funny. [*] Multiple endings. [*] Likeable characters. [*] Didn’t encounter any bugs. [*] Easy UI. [*] Achievements are achievable. [*] Trading cards!
