I haven't had this much fun in ages, wish the online component was a bit more alive though. After playing this game pretty thoroughly and reaching level 40, I can wholeheartedly say that the people who don't like the directional combat of the game should just use the shield. Yes it does remove the ability to use the parry critical hits, but it removes the need to time your blocks with directions if you were having issues with it. I only say this since I've seen a fair amount of reviews ragging on the game's directional combat. I like the feel of it, and once you get the timing down it's really satisfying.
This game has SERIOUS potential. Souls like punishing combat, solid tree. What it lacks is item diversity and diverse content (which i know will come). Right now its basically the same randomly generate levels. Still very fun. As it stands its worth its $$. Very happy I got it
This game is GREAT! The people complaining about first boss are morons. There is literally a sign right in front of the entrance to the boss that says run away, and the zone to leave is 15' to the left. You're meant to come back after a level or two and fight him.. but people are illiterate...
I'm really enjoying it so far. It's got some jank and the combat took some getting used to. It's also pretty challenging, which I like. This game has some great potential. I noticed some people complaining that there's no toggle to turn off multiplayer. There is. It's in Options - Game- Online players. You can turn it off there. Not sure how people missed this, it's one of the first things listed when you click options.
