For fans of Tower Defense and AutoBattle games, this should scratch an itch. The art is fantastic and the game has continued to receives updates and balance patches consistently. Having seen this game evolve with the addition of new packs and towers, I can not wait to see what happens next. Support the developer and enjoy losing hours to one of those "simple but complex" games!
The game IS fun and there is quite a good idea under the hood, but to be honest, the balance is all over the place and I can see why people think this is more of a "gambling simulator" than a proper rouge/strategy game. Some builds just won't work after X ascension, which is not a bad thing but if past X ascension only the "meta" build works then what's the point, just re roll and restart till you get that meta setup So.... yeah.... it's fun and it can be great, but be warned the balance is all over the place in this one.
This is a simple, yet fun tower defense game. It is actually quite addicting, with lots of replay ability. I do wish that the entire run was longer before endless mode, but it is still in early access at the time of this review. I personally don't recommend anyone buy early access games, but at least check out the demo, and keep an eye out for when it does come out fully.
