Short but incredibly sweet and definitely a product of passion, I've been following this game for awhile and was not disappointed at all with what I received, this game is definitely worth picking up by any SCP fan, or anyone who just enjoys a short but thought-provoking story.

So many SCP fan games seem to focus on scares and chase mechanics, and I'm glad this isn't like that. It focuses on the weirder and sillier aspects of these entities beyond comprehension, and I love it for that. And the carefully crafted atmosphere does an excellent job of selling the idea that I'm part of this world. There's an extended driving sequence where you're listening to late night radio as you come across a variety of entities along the road and the immersion was unbelievable. If you want to become genuinely enthralled in SCP lore with an actual story and solid voice acting, this is a great choice. As for why it's sitting at a Mostly Positive, I'm assuming it's either because the puzzles and gameplay mechanics are just 'okay' or because people were expecting scares from this (if you're here for horror, this isn't the game for you). Overall, I give this a huge thumbs up. Felt like I was living a spooky story instead of playing one.

I’ve seen a couple people complain about the price being too high. It’s $20 for just over 4 hours of entertainment. That’s $5/hr. Where can you get this kind of entertainment anywhere else for $5 an hour? That’s why some of these game studios are in trouble financially. Gamers are so cheap sometimes. They complain about $5/hr entertainment, then spend 30-40 bucks at the movies to watch Hollywood rehash the same crap over and over with sequels, remakes, pre-makes, she-quels etc. But $5/hr for their hobby is too expensive? Oh boy. Anyway. This game is great so far. Graphics are excellent in a lot of the areas. I’m really intrigued by the story, it’s great. There’s some unique puzzles, and some gameplay mechanics I was not expecting to find. I like the characters (especially Frank!) and I love the fact it is fully voiced. There’s plenty of options to tweak in the graphics menu if you need better performance. Performance is excellent on my ROG Ally, I get 50-70 fps with the settings maxed out, with occasional dips into the 30s at more intensive areas. My only issue is the fact it’s not really what I would call a horror game, which the poster on Steam would suggest. It’s got some tension in segments of the game, and the atmosphere is uninviting, but it’s def more of a thriller. Just to be clear, what you see on the poster DOES happen in game, it’s just…kinda misleading. Overall, it’s worth the $20. It’s on sale right now for $16, and that is a no brainer if you’re looking for a puzzle/walking sim like this. Just don’t go in expecting a true horror game, and I think you’ll be satisfied! Edit after completing the game: Still highly recommend it. There’s 2 puzzles that were true mind benders for me. The rotating room puzzle, and the maze/picture puzzle. My god, those kicked my ass lol. Love it!

This game is a SCP walking simulator that took me just over 4 hours to finish. The game starts off amazing, with a sense of adventure and purpose, an exciting mystery to solve! But... then it eventually goes off the rails into a generic nonsensical mess during the second half of the game. + The game's graphics are beautiful in some sections, especially the outdoors. + There is one long driving sequence that is actually really well made, I would say its the best part of the game. + There are a couple of puzzles near the end of the game that are super original and mind bending, very creative. - The game advertises itself as a horror game, but it is not. The main picture for the game on Steam is a bloody bucket with very creepy bloody arms stretching out of it. However the game is super light on the horror and doesn't really have any gore in the game except for that one scene. - The story is so convoluted that I didn't really invest in any of the characters and I felt no real emotions going through the game. The last half of the game is just one weird nonsensical (story wise) puzzle after another. It all just felt like filler to make the game longer. These puzzles were not connected to the story and were just basic puzzles that we have all seen 100x in other games in this genre. Example: Aiming lasers to rotating mirrors etc... - In order to figure out the story you will probably have to search the forums, the story is not explained fully in the game properly. - The game's ending is abrupt and I didn't enjoy it. - The whole game feels a bit shallow. The developer tries hard with strong emotional music often to bring out a "Grand Experience!!"... but the core game itself is flat and doesn't excel in anything or bring anything new to the table. - The game is priced high for what you get, wait for a deep sale. Again, the game starts off promising, but completely falls apart in the second half. Overall: 6.5 / 10
