This is quite literally the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I cannot express enough how much I loved this experience. After completing it in one sitting, I started to shed tears of joy for the first time in my nearly 26 years on this wonderful planet, and I hate crying. Normally, as a cynic, I can't find a love in many things, but truly, this is something I adore. I can't thank you enough for sharing this experience with the world, and I thank God that I was able to find this fantastic game through a YouTube short. My first impression of this game was that you played as a baby with superpowers. I'm so glad that I was wrong, because this was so much more beautiful that what I had anticipated. I first found that this game was becoming my favorite during Part 2 Chapter 31, when I was shown the true value of closing my eyes and doing nothing. During Part 3 Chapter 38, I can say with pride that I had no hesitation, I had to save him. Although, I suppose it's an easy decision to make when it wasn't my life on the line. Now for the bad stuff. There isn't much I can say against this masterpiece, aside form a few instances of objects clipping through others, but they were easy to forget in the face of the rest of the game. Other than that, it was truly a game that I can give a 10/10, but I'm just some nobody on the internet, my opinion hardly matters that much. I just wish I could recommend this game more than once.

Let's get the obvious thing out of the way—Goodnight Universe is not nearly as good as Before Your Eyes. But on the bright side, this game doesn't give you depression or make you cry for hours after the end. You'll not be left with a hole in your heart that'll never fill up. This isn't a game that you'll be afraid to replay because you're too scared to be heartbroken again. Instead, Goodnight Universe makes you feel happy and makes you feel like a superhero who wears nothing but diapers, like ever. I didn't know anything about the game except its publisher, so I was surprised with the sci-fi twist, and loved it. I just feel that the game should've been slight better paced—definitely drags in the third chapter. Nonetheless, it's a good game with plenty heart. —For Issac.

First impressions: You can tell right away that a lot of passion and care went into this game. It's a very narrative driven game with some choices here and there. The game does a very good job keeping you immersed as well. I'm playing on Bazzite on a handheld and the game runs mostly smooth, I can stay above 30fps and reach above 60, but it mainly depends on the scene. If you're going to play on the Steamdeck you might want to set it to medium or low. Overall, the game has been a good experience so far and I plan on continuing to play when I have the chance. I definitely recommend it if you love narrative driven games.
