i'm going to assume that you're reading this because you plan on marathoning the hitman franchise. it's why i bought it, and if you're here in the current day, it's safe to assume you're also fond of the hitman franchise. so, does it hold up? compared to codename 47, yes. silent assassin, while having its own kinks and quirks that come with its age, feels much more like a true hitman game. that being said, it is definitely the hardest in the series (although you could argue codename 47 is made harder by its jank), and you would have a very difficult time beating this game without a save system. fortunately, you given 7 saves (sometimes more) per level if you play the game on normal difficulty, which is more than enough. you should not play this game on a higher difficulty during your first playthrough, even if you feel confident going in. is it fun, though? i think so. the gunplay feels good, and the stealth usually takes on you on interesting routes. there are definitely a few crappy missions, but i think there were an equal amount of great ones. if you have the patience to see it through to the end, i think you will enjoy hitman 2. i wouldn't blame you for skipping it, though.

One of those childhood games that made me an addict (to gaming!) Rating: 8.5/10 This masterpiece is full of gameplay bugs which cannot be fixed. However, I recommend this guide for modern PC: [url=https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Hitman_2:_Silent_Assassin] Just follow Widescreen fix + apply Built-in wrapper Remember, the game will crash every time you open Settings before launching campaign, so just don't. If it crashes even after precaution, run Hitman 2 configuration via steam launch option and press "reset". If you are going for complete stealth gameplay, read game rating mechanism [url=https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Difficulty_Level/Silent_Assassin] here . Basically Never Kill Civilians, max 2 alerts or max 1 alert with 1 guard kill. The cleaner the better. Good luck, 47!

It's an ok game and an awesome game if you actually played it back in the day. These passing of years haven't been kind on this game, but you can still have some fun stealing disguises and sneaking around the different maps trying to kill every target with as few people around as possible.

This game was so far ahead of its time, its crazy. The score, the gameplay, the story, everything. It was definitely groundbreaking for that era and it holds such beautifully nostalgic memories for me. The newer era of Hitman is also a masterpiece and later games after this entry are more updated and refined. However, this game still stands the test of time as one of the best ever made.

The most unrealistic part of this game is the fact that Russian civilians run to the guards after seeing a man in a suit carrying a sniper rifle.
