tldr: nice game, around 12-16h of content. Doesn't add much to the demo. Imbalanced. Extremely grindy at the end. It's a cool concept and it looks awesome. I remember playing the demo last year and had a blast. But the full game doesn't actually add much. 13 bosses. When you defeat the last one, thats it. All you can do now is grind achievements - which mainly means to defeat each boss 1000 times. This will probably take you a week of active play since you need to gain ingame currency for the skill tree and you get this by manually trading resources. Of course this trading has a cooldown, so a few days of just doing nothing but farming is no understatement. Balancing is off - two specific unit are massively overpowered and will do basically all of your damage. The whole game feels like it was a demo and then the dev decided to make it a full game and just slapped on a few features to maximize "playtime". I know it's achievements and you don't have to do them, but still it feels artificial. The first ca 12 hours are so damn fun, but then comes the point where the fun stops apruptly and even clever tactics won't help you. Okay, i initially wanted to recommend the game but the more i write and reflect on it, the less i actually want to. I will still recommend it, since until the last boss, the game really is good. tldr: ca 12 hours of fun, then becomes extremely grindy, ca 50h to get all achievements
Other developers should be taking notes. There are so many QoL features that other idle games completely missed the bar on, but this game has them. The prestige system is the perfect example. In this game, you have the option to spend those juicy prestige points without needing to go through a wipe, but it comes at a cost. You spend other materials and resources gathered during your grind in exchange for this luxury, or do a full wipe without needing to spend your mats. That's the second cool thing about this game, you can spend materials on your equipment to enhance their stats and they persist with those enhancements through the wipe. Somehow they balanced this perfectly, as you don't feel overpowered at the beginning of a new prestige since the slots that these equips are placed in only unlock as you progress. I could go on about how many things this game does right, but I'd rather just say: This game is a breath of fresh air and you should try it for yourself.
I had a fun time with this game. Price is fair. Obviously idle games are not for everyone but it's a good game within the genre. I hope for more content to come as I got through it pretty quickly, and the prestige system doesn't really mean meta-progression but rather "just" testing out different skill selections. But all-in-all it feels well designed, fresh and polished. Thanks!
